Publisher's summary

Private Investigator Gaia Charmer brings new meaning to the words "Earth Angel".

This mysterious (and bipolar) bombshell has the power of the Earth itself at her fingertips, but the murder of her best friend knocks her world off its axis.

Out for blood on the killer’s trail, Gaia and a tough-as-nails sheriff must overcome Landkind — a secret society of movers and shakers with influence over Earthly landforms — and a vicious enemy with the key to her true identity.

Don't miss the start of an Urban Fantasy adventure filled with elemental magic and a kickass heroine you can't help but root for. It's perfect for fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and the Mercy Thompson series.

Rather good💚

I loved the variety of characters, the story moved at a quick clip and was rather unique.
Sierra Kline did well with the narration, all character sounded individual.
I was kindly given a copy of this book by Aethon audio and voluntary left this review.

Fresh unique fantasy!

Dead to the World
Gaia Files, Book 1
By: R.J. Sierra
Narrated by: Sierra Kline
This was a book I requested from Aethon audio and the review is voluntary. Wow! This is one book that is amazing from the first sentence to the last! Unique, intriguing, and fresh! Our main character is a gal of the earth. She can manipulate stones, rocks, and gravel. A rock star! She works as a travel agent and a private investigator for those not human, the Landkind. There are several in this story such as a whole named mountain range, but the avatar is a woman that comes to Gaia for help. Someone is poisoning her, the mountains, and she wants the killer found.
Gaia can't remember her further back than a few years. This, the murderer of her friend and the land, and more small mysteries plague her.
The ending was very unexpected and I can't wait to find out what happens next!
These are well developed characters, very unusual, and likeable! The plot is great! Keeping me guessing! Gaia has flashes of memories that tease the reader as to what she might be. Fresh fantastic fantasy!
The narrator performed so well I thought there was two narrators! Great job!
This is going in my favorite folder!

Good story.

This is a cool story. I don't know if I'll continue it, but I'm glad I listened to this one. The main character is interesting and the plot is good. It is just not my thing.

I'm not a fan of the narrator because of personal hearing issues. She does her job well and is easy to understand for the rest of my family.

Wow! Now this is a True Pagetuner!!

This story is unlike any I personally have read/ listen to before. There are some similarities to other authors that have written about Elementals, but not like this!! This book unhappily ends with a Cliffhanger so I can not barely wait for the second Audible book which comes out in Feb 2012. Narrator did a wonderful job with the characters and the storyline.
