Publisher's summary

A Top 100 Amazon best seller

From USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Giana Darling comes a dark MC romance about a broken enforcer and the beautiful, innocent woman who shows him that light can exist even in the dark....

A killer. A criminal.

A psychopath.

The Irish enforcer for The Fallen Men MC is everything good girls are taught to stay away from.

Only, I found myself inexorably drawn into his dark gravitational pull. I wanted to know what it would be like to walk beside the human personification of Death and hold his hand, feel his kiss, and maybe even earn his undying love.

But Priest McKenna is older, cold as ice, and notoriously unfeeling.

So what are the odds that a dead man walking would come to life for little, insignificant me?

When a serial killer begins to target the women of Entrance, BC, and The Fallen suffers another terrible blow, Priest resolves to hunt down the killer himself.

And when the murderer sets his eyes on me? My very own psychopath steps between me and certain death, thrusting us into an intimacy I prayed we would never recover from.

A stand-alone book in The Fallen Men series.

Sweet Sweet Bea!

I fell in love with Sweet Bea while reading Lou and Zeus’s story. She was absolutely the sweetest and I adored seeing her all grown up! Priest absolutely swept me away and I’m obsessed with these two! I loved how this book shows how a girl can love Jesus and like to play with the Devil too. Throughout this book I loved watching Bea grow into this strong young woman and Priest becoming her big bad protector. I love the way he loves her. It’s simple. He loves her. She loves him. I loved them! This series is a true gem!

All kinds of f@@ked up…

This was disturbing in so many ways. I get the trauma that Priest went through but I don’t understand some other things in this book. This series has a lot of religious context in it. Not necessarily Christian, just religious context. I cringed more in this book than the others in the series and not just from the violence. I thought it was a good story line. I just didn’t enjoy some of the actions in this book. Not my favorite in the series.

Dark and Gritty with performances to match

Dead Man Walking is the 6th book in The Fallen Men series. While all these books can be read as standalones, I think they are best read in order. The stories kind of play that way and grow with the added characters, their relationships and the kids added as well.

This is the story of Priest and Beatrice. Priest is the resident psychopath who protects the club at all costs. He's the enforcer, the killer that will take others down by any means necessary. Bea is the sister of LouLou who is married to Zeus, the Prez of The Fallen. She's the light at the end of dark day. She's a sweet thing, or so she has led us to believe, but she says she likes her men dark and bad. No fun in a good guy for her. And she has her eyes set on Priest because she knows the dark horse must have a soft spot for her by the things he does and says. And their opposites attract thing they have going? It works and is combustible!

As with every couple's story so far, we have a mystery going that completes their journey. This one involves a serial killer that has their eyes set on Bea. After Bea's father ruined his family, the women are left a little unprotected and someone knows what buttons to push. With the killer on the loose, this storyline turned a bit darker than the previous ones and I liked the darkness it brought the MC. I like a more gritty MC story and Giana Darling did not disappoint in that.

If you've read the series up to this point, you're obviously going to want to continue on and read this one. Just be prepared for a bit more blood, killing and darkness with Dead Man Walking. But with the darkness, we get the light. And the light comes in the form of Bea and the way she works her magic on the resident psychopath. These two opposites worked and they bring some balance to these books.
Dead Man Walking is another great addition to the series and I can't wait to continue on!

Lastly, if you listen to the audio, Ava Erickson and Richard Sawyer did a great job with the dual POV narration. The accents and tones were perfect for the characters. One of my favorite narrations of the series so far.

Hero that knows what he wants

Loved Priest! So different from the prior stories wherein the H fights his feelings. Priest knows that Bea is his and takes on all the nightmares inside and outside to make it happen. This one in this series is definitely NOT a wash, rinse and repeat. Highly recommend

this is one of the most twisted love stories. And. I. loved. it. I have read hundreds of books, but Priest. he is different and I am obsessed with this story. Ava is my favorite narrator for women. I would listen to anything she narrates. her voice is a perfection of innocence as Bea. this is one of my top 5 smut books e v e r.

Obsessed!

5/5 ⭐️ 5/5 🌶️

Priest is the darkest brother we’ve read about so far and I loved every minute of his story. I knew he had demons, but I just didn’t know how bad they were. I love a good broken boy and even though he is dark he has a good heart for Bea. I absolutely loved how she loved him and i really enjoyed seeing how he loved her back. Their story was dark, beautiful and sad all at once and I couldn’t read it fast enough. I love the fallen men series and I can’t wait for the next book!

EPIC Opposites Attract Dark, MC Romance!

Priest and Bea have moved up as my top favourite couple of this series! Gianna Darling has written another epic story in this fantastic MC series! I’ve been eager for Bea’s story since Welcome to the Darkside. She is Lou’s younger sister and have been desperate to see how this sweet young girl would vibe with a serial killer like Priest. It seemed impossible, but wow did their story take me by surprise. Bea and Priest could not be more different and are total opposites. I loved how Bea’s softer, sweeter side tamed some of Priest darker edges. She accepted him for who he is and never tried to change him. When Priests past is revealed and we learn what has driven him to be the way he is, it tore my heart open and understood him so much better. My favourite part of this book is the connection between Bea and Priest. Its different and so unique to anything I’ve read before. The intense, tender intimacy between these two absolutely blew me away and I couldn’t get enough of them. The audiobook narrated by Ava Erickson and Richard Sawyer is phenomenally executed. The high emotions, danger and violence was so well done by both narrators. I have listened to many books by Ava Erickson before, she does a phenomenal job in romance. Her range is fantastic, her voice sweet and sultry and beautifully portrays the fierce and tender sides of her character flawlessly. Richard Sawyer is a new to me narrator. His Irish brogue was perfection. The way he portrays the dark and dangerous side of Priest was done so well I look forward to finding more books narrated by him in the future. Book 7 is coming soon and I can’t wait to find out who the couple will be as there are so many possibilities. I’m now a forever fan of this series and cannot wait for the next one!
