When werewolf Eli Drake is banished from his pack, he leaves a devastated and heartbroken Carla Reyes behind. Three torturous years later, she tracks him down to a hole-in-the-wall Texas bar - the pack is in trouble, and war is on the horizon. Carla needs Eli's help but wants nothing more to do with him - even though he's as ruthless, domineering, and sexy as ever.... Eli hasn't forgotten Carla. And the partial bite he gave her their last night together has had him lying awake nights imagining her sumptuous curves and supple lips. But Carla wants their bond broken, no matter the cost. Now, as they join forces, dare Eli hope that he can claim a future he never dreamed possible?

Story
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Great romance, very sexy & mysterious
She keeps the sexual tension rampant in this paranormal romance. It’s got very interesting characters that makes you want to learn about all of them. The book covers it all with intrigue and hot detailed love scenes. Love this series, wish Audible would add the next 3 books.

Blood runners
This is an awesome series. Love the story line, Like how the men love their woman. The sex is awesome. The Narrator Rhyannon Byrd is great, she changes up her voice to a man, women...does a great job. I wish there were more books to read in this series. Must read them all.

The woman is such a whiner!
Good book but the h was such a whiner and weak sounding! She is supposed to be some tough fighter but does not come across as one at all. Goes on and on about the same thing. She cries and whines, tells him to go away about the same thing. If I were the H I would just leave her. It was just an ok book but could have been so much better.

Probably my least favorite, in the series!
I continued with this series Because of the story beyond the romance. This particular book had less focus on the struggles with the neighboring pack. It was an ok listen, however.
