Action-packed

This book was so entertaining with interesting and unique storyline. My favorite people are Azar and children. Molina, Rachel, and the other women got on my nerves with the abrasiveness and waffling. The narrators did an excellent job with characters. Jeremy was perfect for dragon voices and glad a sister was used to narrate Molina. Great series!

Don't like Melina

Melina was not a likeable character. She was materialistic and not very bright. She was supposed to come off as strong and independent, but that was ruined by her being OK with allowing Azar to be a crap leader while wearing her pretty dresses and eating good food while ignoring the needs of the others living in the fort who don't have basic needs. It's hypocritical of her since her whole point in accepting her role as Azar's consort was because she wanted to keep her clinic open so she could help the people. She ignored the fact that Azar was enslaving the drakoni. Considering her character made a point of identifying herself as a woman of color I can't understand her ignorance. I could go on, but I won't.

Azar was a bass-head. I loved hating him and enjoyed hearing his POV. He had a lot of personal growth throughout this book.

Jeremy York did a good job with this entire series. Ja'air Bush is a good narrator, but not for adult books IMO. She would be better for younger children's books. In adult books she comes of as condescending.

This was a good book. Worth listening if you've listened to the rest of the series. The ending felt a bit rushed, but I feel like there were no holes left in the overall plot of the series while still leaving some stories untold. Not in a cliffhanger way, but a way that leaves it open to a spin-off series.

Beautiful conclusion

So happy to finally get Azar and Melina’s story. I loved both characters so much! Their struggles and triumphs really drew me in—I found myself rooting for each of them in different ways, throughout.

I’m not glad the saga ends here, but I’m more than satisfied with how it does. I can imagine wanting to listen to all these stories again someday.

Good ending to a wonderful series!

Good read and great POV. I really did not want to like Azar, but I grudgingly became a fan.

If you want to binge a series, then I recommend this one.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. This last book was a good conclusion to the world building. I was hoping for a bit more action and I feel like there are a few plot questions that the author did not answer.
I do love the redemption ark, the complexity of the love story between the two main characters. I did think that the female lead was a bit too much of a martyr and to be blunt a bit too self-righteous.
Also I think they should have picked a younger sounding female narrator. I really enjoyed that most of the books were included in my membership. I do think it was worth buying three more credits to finish out the series. Overall I recommend these books.
Very entertaining.

Molina is SO self righteous

Molina is so self righteous it’s annoying. Like she has all of these rules for Azar which I understood but, to be upset with that the Dragons are protecting the city just doesn’t resonate with me. Like come on, I’d rather have them on the walls protecting the fort than burning it down. Ugh, I’m annoyed with the ladies Molina especially.

Excellent Storytelling

Molina is a believable character. Ruby did a fair amount of research to depict how African Americans post apocalyptic concerns are a little different from everyone else. She goes into why the term and lifestyle of “slavery” hits African Americans differently. Ruby researched our hair and skincare routines. I’m proud of her and grateful.

Ok the storyline is good and juicy. Molina gives this alien a hardcore run for his power and pride. Whatever games he thought he was going to run on her, were shut down immediately. Once they come to terms with the facts that neither of them is going to back down, the story gets better. Sorry for being so vague. I hate spoilers.

Great series!

I’ve never read so many books in a series before and I couldn’t wait to read the next one every time. The world the author created was awesome. Loved each set of characters story line. Each unique and interesting. I would recommend this series to anyone.
