Acerca de esta escucha

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts, two ballet artists whose performances grace the world’s most famous stages discover a more passionate connection when they engage in a Dance of Dreams.

Five years have passed since prima ballerina Ruth Bannion joined the company founded by Russian choreographer Nikolai Davidov. Five years of intense training and conditioning to achieve the physical perfection her impulsive mentor demands of all his dancers. Five years as student and teacher before appearing on stage as equals in a sensual ballet that will inspire Ruth to break through Nikolai’s reserves so they can finally share their hearts’ desires for one another.

Dance of Dreams is about Ruth Bannion (Seth’s niece) and Nick, Lindsey’s old dance partner and now Ruth’s partner. He is older, runs the company, and choreographs the ballets. They are attracted to each other, but he is very temperamental. The way he talked to her was problematic, stating that he could snap her neck while they are arguing.

This novel was written in 1983, around the same time as Kathleen E Woodiwiss and Judith MacNaught were writing their books. Society was very different, so judging the book by what was popular in the early 1980s, it’s pretty good. The plot is very angsty. It has the will they/won’t they dynamic with an age gap and he his more power than she as he is her boss. It is a quick read, so it would be worth reading if you would like to.

These classics written in 1983 but recorded in 2010 by the great ms Dawe, brings back the written word and resonates as Gifted Ms Nora can write. It really is a shame so many fans of Romance are too busy to go back in time and listen to good writing performed by a narrator who’s gifted skills for foreign accents just are such a pleasure to hear. I do use 1.1 to 1.2x speed to bring the content into the now pace. Give it a try. Book 1 is so full of uplifting joy in our heroine that it fills your heart.
This book, shows you how Ms Nora can have a J D Robb series of more than 40 books as she first learned what a sexy European masculine man should look like. These two books join my re listen library when l want a quick uplifting listen after hearing doom and murder mysteries too many in a row.
