MUST READ for every educator!
Wish this was a required read for every teacher. AMAZING stories that made finishing this book quickly easy. The author was the narrator, adding a bonus benefit for audio listeners. My favorite part was the story of the shuttle bus driver. I had to pause the book and call my forth grade teacher. Yes. It is THAT inspiring. This book calls to action all that we should be doing. Whatever it takes. I'll read again. -6th grade teacher

stick with this one
Initially I was underwhelmed with this book. Jimmy's reading voice seemed very unenthusiastic, almost bored. I also thought it was just going to be a bunch of feel good cliches and buzz words that leave you with very little in the way of actionable ideas and practices. However, the book really picks up after about the 3rd chapter. Jimmys passion for education is inspiring and his advice is timeless. He really drives home the practices we need to be using to create successful school cultures. The book is slightly more geared for administrators, but I am a teacher and I found it very applicable as well. I shared some of the ideas with my administrator. This would be a great book for a book club. I highly recommend this book.
