Very Good

This book is very good. The story is very engaging and draws you in. The use of description makes you feel like your there. That became a little problem when there was a well described hurricane. I've had some problems with them in the past. If you have problems with hurricanes don't worry it was a mild hurricane.
The narrator was very pleasant with a great voice.

Amazing

Wick and Maurice are more than just boss/employee. Wick needs Maurice in his life. I loved how these two came together, and how Maurice learned to get over his insecurities. Keval Shah did an Ama big job with the narration. He was new to me, but I’ll definitely listen to him again! Can’t wait for the next book!

Cuddle Bear

This is a sweet story about accepting yourself and letting someone love you. Maurice and Wick work like a well-oiled machine at work. Neither one realizing that the other has feelings for them. When those feelings are finally out in the open the two must decide if they are going to act on them and just how far they will go.

I enjoyed seeing Maurice and Wick find their way. Both men have some issues that put some road blocks in front of them and it was interesting to see them work their way through them. It was nice to see the way they both stand up and support each other. I enjoyed being along for the ride as the attraction that they carry turns into something deeper. Not only do we get to see Maurice and Wick in their personal lives but we also see them work through problems and adventures that happen on the job. Narrator Keval Shah does a nice job of giving life and showing the emotions of these characters.

loved it

I loved this book. Keval Shah's voice is amazing and really brings the story to life. Maurice Baranov III is a assistant for Mr. Guidry. He makes sure Mr. Guidry has everything he needs to make sure things run smoothly at work. He has feelings for his boss but doesn't believe a man like himself will ever have a chance at happiness with a man like Mr. Guidry.
Fenwick Guidry is from a long line of businessmen. He prides himself on keeping his work and life at home separate. Wicks resolve is vanishing because he has feelings for Maurice. They go on a fake double date to help Maurice's cousin Lacey. Both Wick and Maurice wish it was real. Will Maurice be able to overcome the past and his insecurities to find love with Wick?

Loved this so much!

Listening to my favorite stories on audio is such a treat - if a performance is well done, it brings such richness and life to the characters. This is definitely one of those times. Keval Shah does beautiful accents and the depth of emotion from Maurice and Wick was amazing.

Cuddle Bear

listened and Read December 18,2022
I absolutely loved this book! I read along while listening to the audio book. Ki Brightly wrote a fantastic book and picked a fantastic narrator. Keval Shah voice was absolutely amazing, I was not expecting that sexy Southern drawl.
I didn't realize until this book I LOVE a boss/assistant trope. There is just something about the way an assistant easily takes control of their bosses life, making everything run smoothly. I love that not only do they take care of them at work but also in their personal lives.
The thing I love the most about this book is the representation of bigger men. Not all men have a "body of a god" with a six pack.
I truly felt all of the emotion in this book. All of the insecurities of Maurice and Wick. There were parts where my chest ached and I wanted to cry. Ki's words were so powerful just as they were but Level Shah voice pushed me over that edge every single time.

Enjoyable

I received a free copy of this audiobook with no expectations regarding the content of my review.

I enjoyed Wick and Maurice’s story. It’s mildly angsty as both MC’s struggle with insecurities and baggage from their past experiences. While Wick starts out as the dominant force in their relationship, I liked how he ceded control to Maurice and seemed to enjoy taking a more submissive role in the bedroom. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters to life.

Taking A Chance

Wick was a boss who was not stret smart. Reliant on his assistant Maurice to make his life easier he happy to take a chance and pursue a relationship with him.

Being scarred after a horrible relationship, Maurice has insecurities.
A relationship with his boss is something he cannot fathom and he hesitantly takes a chance at this new relationship.

A plot with sweet elements and some office drama to enhance this story.

The narration was fantastic and easy to follow along with.
An absolute pleasure to listen to.

Wick and Maurice

I loved this story and how Ki, brought them together. Wick is the boss and Maurice the assistant he can't do without. Maurice has lost confidence as his last boyfriend did a number on him 5 yrs previously, and he isn't a slim model, but a Cuddle bear. How Wick shows him he can be loved, was wonderful. love the story building in this book

A sweet romance

I really enjoyed this sweet workplace romance between a boss and his assistant. It was great to see them confront their insecurities and become a stronger couple because of it.

There are a fantastic cast of supporting characters including a fabulous tailor and a wonderfully supportive cousin. I hugely enjoyed their scenes and interactions.

Learning to open up

I really enjoyed seeing Maurice and Wick figure out how to admit their feelings for each other in this mix of the boss/employee and fake boyfriends tropes. Maurice has come out of a relationship where his weight was always an issue so he figures his feelings for his boss, Wick, will forever be fantasy. Wick is not the world's greatest boss at dealing with the people in his employ, but he's come to rely on Maurice and now has feelings for him as well. The actions of other people both in their personal lives and at work put them in the position of spending time together and that fosters a closeness that neither can deny. Keval Shah did a really nice job of capturing their insecurities and their increasing attraction to each other. This one was a pleasure to listen to.

I'd love a cuddle from Maurice!!

Let me start off with the fact that I'm personally on the "Cuddley" side myself which makes me a little bias in these stories.
But they are some of my favourite tropes. I feel like most of them have a air of fantasy about them. The big, hunky, possessive alpha, who everybody drools over only has eyes for shy, meek chubby person. Cuddle Bear did start out like all the rest, however it didn't stay that way.
I don't want to spoil too much but all the clichès were wiggled around. I thought it felt more real. Like it was actually a possible romance, less fantasy. Which I must admit I found refreshing.
Which ever way you like your chubby romances to go, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Cuddle Bear 🐻
