Publisher's Summary

A magical sleigh ride. A mysterious detour. Will her holiday be marked by garlands or gravestones?

Imogen feels like she’s buried under an avalanche of secrets. Caught up in puzzling out her mysterious origins and her confusing emotions for Prince Hank, she hopes a magical holiday retreat with friends will take her mind off her troubles. But when a roadway ambush steers their sleigh off course, she must stay the night in a quaint little village veiled in secrets of its own....

Partying alongside her bakery friends and handsome prince at the mayor’s ball, Imogen finally pushes aside her uncertain visions to soak in the holiday spirit. But the merriment comes to an abrupt halt after a dead body floats to the surface of a cauldron of punch.

When the angry townsfolk point their pitchforks at her friend, Imogen must shovel through layers of mysteries to find the real killer before innocent blood runs cold.

Kleenex at the Ready

Erin Johnson made me cry this time. She just gets better and better with each book! Imogene was adopted as an infant by a nonmagical family. Will she ever learn her true heritage? The short answer is yes, in a roller coaster ride that will have you sobbing at the end. Each book builds on the prior one, so read them in order. I couldn’t stop listening!!

Enchanting tale

Cookie Dough, Snow & Wands Aglow is the fourth installment in the Spells & Caramels series. The royal bakers are off on another fun adventure with Prince Hank joining them. They're off to London for the holidays, but something happens along the way, and they find themselves taking refuge in a small town. There, they learn some interesting facts about Imogen's past. Things also start heating up between Imogen and Prince Hank. Sam winds up facing some untoward attention, and has a difficult time dealing with it. As with the earlier three books in this series, the narration is amazing. The performance Ms. Somerville offers is near perfect for the story and for the characters. I hope she continues to narrate this series and that she'll move on to others. I love these wonderful tales of Imogen and the royal bakers. I can't wait to listen to the next book in this series. I received this audio book from the author for free. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on my review. Another great listen

Love this entire series thus far! Once more trouble and Imogen find each other, leaving Imogen and her friends to solve another mystery. In the process, we also learn more about Imogen and her past. Naturally, there is plenty of humor sprinkled throughout the story. Hannah does a wonderful job narrating. I can't wait to listen to the next story to find out more about what Horace has planned for Imogen and where things will go with Prince Harry.

another delightful book in a great series

I have loved this series since the very first book. It is a series full of great characters that keep you engaged in their stories. I look forward to each and every new book that comes out. The narrator really brings the story and characters to life. It is a series I highly recommend.

Overarching story gets a lot of development

I received this book for free, though the review is left of my own accord. I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and this one is no different in that way. However, this one takes the emphasis off of the murder mystery (it's still present, just not as prominent) and onto the overarching story of Imogen Banks. I wont go into too great of detail because I dont care for spoilers, but I felt like this book moved the series into the latter half of the Harry Potter series. No "Chosen One" type situation, but I think you'll see what I mean if you give this book a read. This book is also probably the funniest one. I actually laughed out loud at more than one point (especially at Francis). Hannah Somerville's performance continues to be phenomenal. She's very consistent with the voices and her tone is very pleasing. I dont have books 5 or 6 yet, so I'll have to keep my eye out for those. Give this book (series) a shot if you like baking. Give this book (series) a shot if you enjoy mysteries. Give this book (series) a shot if you enjoy Harry Potter.

LOVED IT

I love this series. It is one of my favorite. From start to finish these books keep you laughing and entertained. This book was no exception. This time the gang is headed to the kingdom of Prince Harry's fiance. However, they get detoured to another town by Horace. They are stuck because of the monster vine that Horace to turned loose. Meanwhile, there are two murders there and it appears to be done by a vampire. However Francis is supposed to be the only vampire left. Or is he? Also while they are trying clear Francis, secrets of the town and Imogen's past starts to be revealed. The narrator, Hannah Somerville is fantastic. She makes each character come alive. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book gets you all aglow

I really enjoyed this book and think it is another great story to add to a brilliant and humours series. I think the characters are so much fun and there is always a chuckle to be found somewhere as well as a very good mystery, that everybody helps to solve. The Royal baker team are on the way to London when they have to take an unexpected diversion to a small charming town but things are not what they seem. Imogen starts to find burnt down building that know body else can see and things have a strange habit of glowing. Stuck in the town they have no choice but to stay and attend the Mayor ball with there quaint traditions. When a man dies in one of the party games the town folk start to look at the new visitor in tow. Then another man is killed and a building is set and fire and the villages start to form a mob carrying pitch forks. Can Imogen prove they are not to blame? Will they discover why things are glowing and why Horace (the leader of the Bad Lands) diverted them to the town in the first place? I really like the narrator as she make each character fun.

Mysteries abound

This installment in the series raises a lot of questions about Imogen & where she comes from. The royal party are diverted by magical means to a small village where Imogen keeps seeing things that others don't. Imogen, Iggy, Maple, Prince Hank and the others find themselves wrapped up in another murder and have to clear their names, fast. I liked learning a little more about Imogen & her birth family. Another light, fast paced listen :) I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Sweet magical tale

Another great book in the series. Kept me a little on my toes as a few twists came as a surprised. Iggy again had me chuckling, I honestly could listen to a spin off series about his adventures. Enjoyed every moment and about to download the next book in the series. It’s been a delight!
