Publisher's Summary

Landmark Essays, Volume 2 continues a wonderful journey to the heart of the matter of our lives, to what matters most. It points out what's possible if we step outside of what we know, and recognize and embrace our capacity to bring forth an entirely new possibility for living—not because it is better, but simply because that is what human beings can do. Here, Landmark insights, literary nuggets, and contemporary science are juxtaposed with the stuff of our everyday lives—our unexamined assumptions, our foibles, our brilliance. The 10 author/narrators of this book push boundaries and bring forth what’s possible in being human, suggesting that our lives and the way we know ourselves are open to being invented.

A part of this was worth buying

Would you try another book from the authors and/or the narrators?

no

Would you ever listen to anything by the authors again?

probably not

How did the narrator detract from the book?

?

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Conversations That Matter: Insights & Distinctions - Landmark Essays, Volume 2?

?

Any additional comments?

The subject matter or topics that the speakers choose was just alittle bit to intelectually
gobblish. To listen to allot of this is not worth my money or time. I did not benefit from
hearing the speakers, as they challenged or answered the philosphical concepts.

Possibility Becomes Real

There's something distinctly different and more powerful about listening to these essays as opposed to simply reading them.
If you're willing to put the work in to a, and it does require real work , as anything significant does, you can get your life out of these and Landmark's other essays and work.

Replacement for Forum?

I have not attended the Forum but based on what I've heard in numerous internet accounts, this plus Vol. 1 will give you much of the material without the hard-sell/'enroll everyone you know' recruitment tactics. Essays were thought-provoking for the most part and will have you evaluating your mental approach to life. Audio quality was good except for one essay clearly recorded via cell phone. For the price I would recommend.
