Loved it!

This was a phenomenal story that had me completely hooked from the very beginning! I was 100% invested in these characters. I was consumed by Danny and Anne’s relationship/situationship and who was behind all the fires!
The narrators did a great job. I’m really hoping there’s more, because some characters really piqued my interest, and I feel like things are not fully settled with the fires.

Another amazing book!

JR Ward knocks us down with another, I need more series! The performances of all the people involved really brought the story to life!

J.R. Ward never disappoints. Performance was superb. I hope this is the first of a series.

One of the best books by J R Ward

The characters have a depth that while hinted at in previous books written by Ms. Ward, until this moment, never saw fruition. The author skillfully delves into the minds of the lead characters and lets the reader ride along as they listen to, or read from, this book. The action starts early and does not let go until the quite satisfying end.

I hope everyone enjoys this audible unabridged version as much as I do.

Not BDB, but very good. Horrible female narrative

I did enjoy this book. It's definitely has the J. R Ward flair that we all know and love. The romance is good but of course in all her books conflicted with the characters having to find themselves. I love the mystery within the story. My only two problems where; I felt the ending was wrapped up a little too quickly and the female narrator was not very good for this story. In my opinion is was very monotone and occasionally made the men sound like idiots. With her sounding annoying and whiney. There were many times I almost stopped listening due to her narrative. Thankfully she was saved by the other two narrators. If the series continues and she is used I don't think I will purchase an audio version.

Such an intense listening experience!!

This was my very first J.R. Ward book and what an indoctrination into her amazing writing! This book had me on the edge of my seat through each and every chapter. The story is all consuming with angst, passion, suspense and underneath it all a layer of love that surprised me.

I absolutely loved this style of narration bringing so much more to the story. I literally found myself sitting in my car at different points because I had to hear what happened next!

I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!

Another wonderful book by JR Ward!!!

I love JR Ward! And and this book did not disappoint! All of the cast of characters were so well developed that I felt like I could read their minds! The firefighter storyline is genius and everything that follows the initial fire story I couldn’t wait to get to! Im hoping there are more!!

This is the first 4 narrator book I’ve listened to, and after listening to ALL of the BDB books, I was expecting Jim Frangione, and he’s not the first voice! The other 3, Hilary Huber, Jason Carpenter and Pete Simoneli we’re good as well!!
