"If Mr. Gervais made only podcasts for the rest of his career, I'd keep downloading." (The New York Times)
Ricky Gervais is the perfect antidote to a boring car trip. My wife and I listened to the first and second seasons of his podcast over the holidays. At times I worried that I might have to pull the car over because I was laughing so hard.

I love this podcast - I have listened to parts of it several times. It is tough to describe but well worth a listen. I find these 3 very funny. Ricky Gervais can sometimes get a bit loud, but it is understandable.

This is for anyone who is a fan of Karl, it's a must have podcast.
Typical content from these 3 friends (Ricky, Steve, & Karl), so hilarious as usual.
If you have never listened, or watched, anything from this trio, than let me sum it up for you right now. Remember being in high school, hanging out with 2 of your close friends? Well picture that one of the 2 friends is a half-witted, uneducated, pea brained, balding twat (Karl). What would you (Ricky), and the other friend (Steve), do for entertainment? You would probably spend a great deal of time f***ing with, or making fun of, the dopey, dumb twat (The Ricky Gervais Show).
The obscure perspective of Karl pilkington will make you sad for the people like him in the world and simultaneously declare him to be brilliant!
These 3 are hilarious enough to listen to repeatedly....great stress relief, or mood enhancement tool. Karl Pilkington is an idiot, and the premise is that Ricky & Steve just harass & confuse him & record the results. Brilliant.
I can and have listened to these over and over again and still find them completely hilarious and entertaining.
There's some overlap between the HBO show and this podcast (obviously). But frankly, when the conversation is this funny, you don't mind revisiting it.
What did you love best about Ricky Gervais Show?
I think Ricky and Steve do a great job at instigating Karl to say what he says, which is what really makes these podcasts funny.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
An Idiot on Podcasts
If you love Ricky, Karl and Steve then you will not be disappointed in this, their second venture into the world of podcasts. I thought it was as funny as the first season and still embarrassed myself frequently in public places as I listened to it. I finally realized that being known about town as the woman who wears her Ipod, bursting into periodic laughter over nothing and giggling to herself sounded like a character that Karl may have grown up with. But I don't care, I love Ricky Gervais and his crew and his podcasts never, ever let me down.
Messrs Gervais and Merchant state several times that these podcasts are drivel. I agree whole heartedly. It is complete drivel, but it's funny drivel and very well put together.
Where else can you hear discussions (did I say discussions ?) on topics as diverse as nasty frogs that are so angry that they can kill 1000 people, spiders that go bald when you rub them, putting mirrors on the moon and how to fend off a killer octopus (by calling it a knobhead and giving it a kick) ?
Can't wait for the third series.

no where near as much value as season one - Ricky is overpowering and often interrupts just as things are getting funny

The 3 are back again. Definitely worth listening to if you are a fan of the first season but in my opinion not as good as first season.

want something fun and entertaining...well just give up because this is just woow ..15 words are just too much
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If that friend was a human being capable of humour then I would send it their way instantly.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ricky Gervais Show?
Every time Karl Pilkington opened his mouth.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
Almost every scene was utter comedic perfection.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not necessarily, it was split into episodes. But i certainly wanted to finish an entire episode before i stopped.
Karl for prime minister! so funny without even trying. good price and will be buying 3rd season too
Absolutely loved it, but then again I'm a huge Karl Pilkington fan.
Note, if you're going to buy this, and you've listened to a lot of Karl/Ricky in the past (YouTube/podcasts etc), then there may not be anything new on here for you. A lot of what was on here, I'd heard before on their XFM shows, but still very enjoyable. It was the first time I'd heard some of the Rockbusters though.
Too old and too commented on to add anything new. I've been listening to them since they were made. They still make me laugh... I feel like I know them. Like they're me mates, coz I've heard their voices so many times.Very funny..

Any additional comments?
Call it what you like; sickness, disease, illness, plague, ailment. I have now got myself the Karl Pilkington sickness, I cannot get enough of the man. Being alongside Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (who is the funniest man ever) it makes for a sidesplitting and winning trio.

I can't get enough!
exceptionally hilarious stories from the fabulously funny 3! would recommend these scamps over and over again!
