A television star and a flight attendant walk into a bar....

Six months after a traumatic event left actress Piper Sheridan confined to her apartment with debilitating panic attacks, she’s determined to start living her life again. Motivated by an upcoming audition, she summons her courage and goes out for a drink, keeping her identity under wraps. It sounds simple enough, but nothing about going out in public is easy for Piper these days. And her hopes of going unnoticed are stymied by the bubbly blonde on the next barstool.

Flight attendant Chloe Carson is only in New York for the night, and she’s only looking for a little casual fun to go with her cocktail. The mysterious woman beside her isn’t exactly fun, but she’s intriguing. And beautiful. Even without knowing her name, Chloe is drawn to her. When they share an unexpectedly intimate moment, Chloe knows this is a night she’ll never forget.

Can these two strangers turn a chance encounter into something lasting?

3.5 stars I previously read this one and was happy to bump this up a star with the audiobook re-read. Lori Prince’s narration added even more to the story that I enjoyed, but didn’t love as much as the others in the series. I liked this overall. I thought it was a quick and light read, with enjoyable characters whose dynamic I liked seeing play out on page. It didn’t quite get into my gut the way the first two books did though, and I thought that maybe the ended wrapped up a little quick and felt just the tiniest bit rushed? It was certainly a fun read that I would rec, but it didn’t have that extra thing that will make me want to come back and revisit it a lot, I don’t think.

Fun lighthearted addition to a wonderful series

Ms. Lacey has done a wonderful job of developing characters that fit nicely together in this romantic story. She successfully draws the reader into their lives, as they grow to love one another despite obstacles. Ms.Prince’s abilities to narrate the story with varying character accents are well done.

A Very Sweet Love Story

I loved this book, dealing with panic attack was a great teaching point. And Lori Prince? She improves from book to book, she was wonderful.

This was my favorite out of all 3 books. Piper is the best character out of ALL the characters of all the books!! I really enjoyed (spoiler alert) that they didn’t have to break up to make a point!! Loved it from beginning to end. And Lori Prince was as usual sensational!! Need more books like this one from this author!
