Harper has a secret... and it's not that she likes girls. She has a rare talent: She can see how old other people will be when they die. Nothing she does changes this number, and that becomes especially clear when her mother dies in a car crash. With only one other person in the world who knows about and shares her gift, Harper is determined to keep her distance from everyone. Then she falls for Chloe… whose number is 16.

That means that Chloe doesn't have twelve months to live. She doesn't even have six. She is going to be dead by the end of the summer, unless Harper can find a way to stop it.

I don’t know why I picked up this book but I am so glad I did. You see I love MM romance but I have never read a FF romance I didn’t think it was my thing but I am coming to realize LOVE is my thing.

This is an interesting story of a girl who can see what age you will die. She has a hard time knowing, but she finds someone who can see the numbers just like she can. He is older and Harper’s father isn’t happy about that but she doesn’t feel that way about him. They’re truly friends and there for each other, because they both have had loss yes but it’s their shared knowledge of death that brings them closure together.

Then Harper meets a girl who she doesn’t see the number first, the attraction was palpable. Then she see her number and she doesn’t know how to deal.

But their connection can’t be denied. I loved this story I was rooting for them. That ending was well….. I won’t tell.

Great narration, seriously wonderful!!

This book made me so anxious and ridiculously worried when it was beginning to reach the end. I read this without really expecting much but oh god... I love the characters in this book, they were written so well they almost felt real. I especially loved Chloe a lot, she was the epitome of a lovable charming dork, definitely a cheeky and bubbly girl done right who doesn't get annoying in the long run. The ending felt a little rushed, I wanted to hear more of the aftermath. The chemistry between Harper and Chloe is amazing, I even cared for the side characters as well. I just wished we could've had more moments between the two without the dark cloud hanging over Harper's head, they're absolutely adorable together. I just really love this book okay..! And no.. I'm not crying, you are!

I love it so much.

This is the second text I've read/listened to by Siera Maley, and again I am impressed. The characters were easy to follow and certainly likable. I'm happy to see that LGBT books are moving beyond the coming out narrative and going towards putting characters, who so happen to be gay, in tough situations. Looking forward to adding more of Maley's work to my own library. She is quickly becoming my new Julie Anne Peters! Also, smooth narration from Janine Granda :)

Short but worth the listen
