Publisher's summary

Sophie

Liam is Formula 1's golden boy. But he's nothing but a fraud. Charming. Devious. Seductive. And someone who promises to fulfill all my naughty bucket list items. I force him behind the safe lines of the friend zone. Instead of accepting our friendship, he strikes a deal. One season. One list. One dirty secret.

Liam

Sophie is my greatest fantasy brought to life. And a major threat to my contract renewal. She's a part of the rival team and someone I should resist at all costs. Everyone is against our friendship. My boss. Her dad. Me. Yet, I'm captivated by her and the naughty list she created. Screw platonic, I want catastrophic.

Great audio!

Collided is the second book in the Dirty Air series by Lauren Asher. This could be read as a standalone but is fun in series order. I listened to the audio and enjoyed Desiree Ketchum and Aiden Snow’s performances.

Sophie Mitchell is the daughter of James Mitchell, the Bandini’s team principal. Sophie decides to spend the entire F1 season traveling with her dad and the Bandini team. She befriends Liam Zander, a bad boy McCoy F1 driver known for his speed and off the track antics. Liam finds a “F it” list Sophie created one night while drunk and offers to help her complete it. Of course lines get blurred and friendship turns into more.
This was a fun and fast paced read. I enjoyed it but found the narrative that “Sophie’s not like other girls” a little repetitive, so I gave it 4/5 stars. I can’t wait to read the next in the series, Wrecked, I’ve heard so many great things!

• Thoughts:
I enjoyed this book better than the first one. I loved Her personality and her sass and sarcasm. He is a playboy running from his past. Soo the few things I was on the struggle bus with.
1. When Johanna died. That was awful and sad. But the way he carried his grief and the way he acted and avoided his family you would think he was the one who lost his wife, not his best friend. I dunno. I felt that was a little strange, at least for me. I could totally see not wanting to be with anyone because of how his brother lost his love and he was their for his brother at every opportunity but he wasn't. I was waiting for him and his brother to start throwing punches because he was ready to confess he loved her.
2. He is basically just trying to get Sophie to sleep with him. That's it. And their back and forth got annoying. Like the first book I felt it dragged on a little bit and I feel their conflict much like the first one is rather silly. And eye roll Worthy. I just can't figure out whatbit is with her writing that I am struggling with. I get sucked into her world and her characters but then there are a lot of elements of her stories that I am not a fan of.

•Narrator thoughts:

Best storyline in the series

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Narration is great also. Aiden Snow is amazing and by far my favorite male narrator. Definitely recommend!

Love Lit Chick Blog Review

5/5⭐
This has to be the best books I've listened to in a long time. Liam & Sophie had me from their first meeting to the very end. Moderate spice level. Listing to it made me connect with the characters and I love that.

Not bad

Not a bad listen. Only weird part of the book was Liam’s weird relationship/reaction to Johanna’s death. He took it far far worse than his own brother almost like there is a story behind their friendship that goes beyond just friends.

Absolutely breathtaking story

I loved every minute of this book…the audiobook narrators killed the characters; plus Aiden Snow is one of my favorite male narrators. Friends to lovers is usually not one of my favorite tropes but Lauren Asher does it so well.

5th Book And Still Loving

After being introduced to and whipping through Dreamland Billionaire Series, I wanted more. Now on my 2nd Dirty Air book I can say I’m going to miss the characters when I’m done.

I loved the story development, the family dynamics, the character growth, the love. Everything. I even started searching the Formula 1 website just so I could get more into that world. LOL. I’m ready for the next book!
