Lack of evidence for guidelines

I struggled to finish this book because I was looking for something more evidence based. There were some studies mentioned throughout the book but most of the studies mentioned were studies that were unpublished and conducted by the author.

The suggestion and guidelines offered in the book are great for anyone who is industry but not so good for those of us in academia because a lot of the suggestions seemed to be based in experience and less in published evidence. That's not necessarily bad, depending on what you are looking for.

Not Richard Hackman's best work

I am a huge fan of J. Richard Hackman, but this book is neither engaging or powerful. Don't waste your time.
