I could not recommend this book enough, whether you're reading or listening, to anyone who is actively trying to get a better grasp on their anxiety! I will say, I listened to the audio book at regular speed and found the narration to be incredibly tranquil alongside the subject matter.

Hudson really did a spectacular job in breaking down the fundamentals of CBT in clear, practical, and easy to apply terminology. There is a very clear focus throughout on simple CBT tools that you can actually use in everyday situations—whether it’s calming racing thoughts, breaking the cycle of worry, or finding healthier ways to respond to stress.

I was especially impressed with the attention towards how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can affect us based on different ways that anxiety presents itself, especially when it comes to intrusive thoughts. The exercises outlined in the book feel very well thought out and are easy enough to understand on first impression that you'll be able to incorporate them into your daily life before you've even finished listening.

What a great listen! I love how informative and calming this audiobook was. The narrator was perfect and the author used credible sources based on studies, scientific, and psychological evidence. It explains where anxiety comes from, why anxiety happens, debunks myths, how anxiety leads to other mental disorders, and coping mechanisms. My favorite part is a CBT coping mechanism called reframing. For example, whenever I’m anxious about anything in my personal life, I’d replace those thoughts with something positive and personal affirmations so I can see a certain situation in a positive outlook. Highly recommend!

what I like most about this book is that it described me to a tee! after understanding that the author knows what he's talking about I was able to listen more attentively for any ways that I can not be in panic all day. and what he did is give practical advice on how to not let anxiety and panic rule your life. this advice is very doable and I look forward to implementing them in my daily routine so I can get out of the thumb of panic and anxiety. excellent read and great book!!

I had never heard of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy until a few years ago, when dealing with the chronic pain of a family member. I like that the book speaks to not trying to say everything is in your head, which is what some of the doctors implied about his chronic pain. Anxiety is real and if you don't have the resources available to help you with that it can be a scary and hard place to be. Suggest reading/listening to this book for some thoughtful comments around both.

I think this audiobook was very clear. I found it makes a lot of sense on what triggers anxiety. It talks about different strategies to help combat the feeling of anxiety. it makes sense that we can create anxiety just by the negative thoughts. To help change that is by changing a person's thinking patterns. if people can think more positively then it will help reduce anxiety.

This book is a great resource on what anxiety is, why it occurs and how it can be managed. The author clearly explains how CBT can be helpful for overcoming fears and reducing anxiety. This is not only an excellent self help book, but would make a great resource for anyone involved in mental healthcare.
