Since I answered yes to all the questions in the author's publishing summary of the book I decided this was the book for me!
I have been struggling a lot with my ex and his treatment of our child and the lack of quality parenting done when my child is out of my care. I'm doing my best to understand and do what I can when I can. The book did give me insight as to why my ex why developed this personality trait. A resource for parent survivors
An easy read on the struggles of co-parenting with a narcissist. After reading this, you will understand that you are not alone and that what you're up against can actually be dealt with. Apart from the gender pronouns always identifying the narcissist as male, this was a good read.
I would have liked to see alternating gender pronouns and a more in-depth discussion about the practical tools for dealing with these kinds of toxic people as well as some specific places to find help, but it represents a good overall start.

Narcissist defused
Narcissists are a nightmare to deal with even at an arms distance, let alone raising a kid with one! They will pull out all the stops to make your life a living hell, but ONLY if you let them. Before listening to this excellent title, I would get so wound up by my ex. Now I use the techniques inside this book and they work like magic. The trick is to starve off the narcissist's fuel by not giving them the rise they are looking for. Trust me, they will find it elsewhere and you and your little ones don’t have to suffer nearly as much. Loved this!

Very helpful book
I got this book to share with my friend who is on a constant battle with her ex. The author pinpointed exactly what to look out for when looking at potential partners and especially how to deal with and oo-parent with a narsacist.
There are great tips from recognising the signs to getting out of the toxic relationship when you know the other person is not going to change and most importantly, not to feel guilty about it. it is better to be a single parent than to stay in a toxic relationship for the sake of the children.
Children are clever and resilient, they will understand and probably be grateful that you took them out of such a controlling environment.
Great book, would recommend to anyone going through this tough period in their relationship.

Story
Half of all marriages end. Unfortunately, about 20% of divorces are high-conflict, involving frequent visits to court, allegations of abuse, and chronic disagreements regarding parenting schedules. In response to this conflict, some children become aligned with one parent against the other - even a parent who has done nothing to warrant the hostile rejection of their formerly loving children. These parents are on a painful journey with an uncertain outcome. Surviving Parental Alienation fills the tremendous need for concrete help for these parents.
