It was good but could have been great
For all those that read Grant Cartright butchered this audio book, please note that he didnt do a tereible job. He just didnt put on a performance equivalent to that which was in book 5.
But its not just that. The audio technician or editor didnt do a great job either as you can hear each narator swallow, lip smack among other unusual sounds u dont expect to hear with a quality audio book. Noises that are distracting and break immersion when listening via headphones.
So is this worth listening to?
Yes
Is it entertaining?
Yes
Could the performance been better?
Yes.
Enjoy.

Remarkably beautiful and bbitter sweet.
Anything I write does not do justice to the months spent reading the world Cassandra has created through the inferno devices and Immortal instruments. I never knew what to expect when pressing the play button on Clockwork Angel and again for City of Bones. Completely blown away and pleasantly surprised each time. A huge bar has been set and it’ll be difficult to find a new series that can measure up. I’ll miss the Harendales, Lightwoods, Fairchilds, Simon and Magness plus the many who played a part in such an stunning read…, well definitely not Sebastian. That dude creeps me out and gave me nightmares. For every truly good comes the deeply evil. It’s kinda sad and bitter sweet to say goodbye. Goes to show how great of an author Cassandra is to create such characters yu come to love, hate and be irritated by. I laughed, cried, nearly punched the player and cheered over and over. Brilliant night time reading! Looking forwad to Emma’s story in the upcoming series The Dark Artifices. Yeah!!!

Female narrator ruins this again 😒
I don't understand why the UK have to have a different narrator why can't we buy the Sophie Turner version done by Simon and Schuster? Its much better then this same with the City of Lost Souls I would recommend finding somewhere you can get the Simon and Schuster version of both books the narration is much better don't waste your money on this.

A little too much information but well written
I think this book had a little more information than needed. I am sure Cassandra Clare had in mind the sequel already in her mind, and probably that is the reason of the introduction of new characters. But in my opinion, that is pointless when talking about the last book in one series.
Anyway, a part from the new characters, this book finishes every story ever started and it flows very fasts.
Also really enjoyed the narration with enthusiasm, which is always a plus for audiobooks.

Good story ruined by a crap narrator. Again.
Loved the book, shame it had to end, but baffled as to why Oxer was used again. Found myself groaning and covering my ears every time she comes on. When you switch narrators at least ask that they learn the pronociations of names etc from the previous books, and can pronounce the words, domestic and foreign, required. Perhaps the recording of this book was rushed and not checked properly for mistakes, who knows.

Great conclusion to the series.
Loved the story and development of the characters. Narration was just right. Plenty of twists and turns along the way.

You'll not want to miss it!!
If you read or listened to the last book there's no way you'll not have downloaded this already eager to get started! I perfect end to a perfect series and thankfully Cassie Clare just keeps writing more and more of the shadow world for us to enjoy.
I really enjoyed both readers too, they did a fantastic job of telling the stories. The characters were recognizable, they paused in all the right places and altered their tone to create suspense and I loved it ❤

Familiar fare
If you've read the previous books in this series then you already know what to expect. Predictable and boring. The world has a lot more promise than the stories deliver. Not so much a narrative as a jump from event to event with no real connection in between. Clare as usual is more interested in describing what the characters are wearing than actually developing them as people. Barely any of them have had any development or growth over the series. It's frustrating when the author has created a world with so much potential.

ASMR readers
I liked that the annunciation of non English words were really good by both readers. I disliked how the female reader made Clary sound like she was 12 and it felt like asmr in a bad way. Her rendition of male characters all sounded constipated. The male reader kept swallowing in the most awkward times and with headphones it was awful! The book was great and I’m sad to have finished the series.

Great book to end the series
I love this series of books, I’ve read them and now listened to them - two narrators is disconcerting sometimes - I prefer one narrator books but that’s a personal preference.
