Publisher's Summary

The war has only just begun. While rescuing a world from Centaur control, the Marines discover that not all humans on the planet are slaves. The Children of Angels believe their masters have been sent by the gods to lift up mankind. Humanity now has two enemies, one from the farthest reaches of the Galaxy and the other from within.

The Children must be crushed before they open the door, delivering the human race to the greatest enemy we have ever known. Buckle up and strap in. The second entry in the Sentenced to War series is finally here. If you're a fan of Old Man's War or Starship Troopers, you'll love this epic military scifi thrill ride.

awesome

What you expect is a straightforward military scifi story, but what you get is something deeper. This series has been quite the ride and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I just saw there's a fourth book coming out in a few weeks on Amazon, so I hope it comes to Audible within the next few months, as I will be quick to listen.

fascinating

The story keeps evolving and seems headed into interesting direction. I look forward to more. Rev is a realistic character, flaws and all, so I appreciate the nuance. Might be cool to see him grow in book 3 even more. Let's keep the party going!

Great series!

Love that book 2 and 3 dropped together! It’s a great and fun series! Nothing too complicated just good old military sci-fi.

I only keep reading because of the good premise

The characters have begun to gain depth but, and dialogues are improving in regards to the first book. on the other hand, the Universe is now becoming better consolidated. However, rhe characters still lack depth, the plot still has holes and the structure is just weird, but still interesting. The editors should have made a better job. However the series did catch my attention, and I will most likely finish it. The books aren't bad, they're just not what they could be

Action filled!

Really enjoyed this book! Bursting with action and cool, rule-breaking, Marine machoness!
I hadn’t listened to book 1, so I didn’t get a few of the references, but this book stands alone really well too!
Great narration. Jeffrey has great pacing and atmosphere with cool voices too.
Straight onto the next book!
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.
