The #1 New York Times bestselling Beyonders fantasy trilogy comes to a stunning and epic conclusion.

Jason and Rachel were not born in Lyrian. They did not grow up in Lyrian. But after all of the battles and losses, the triumphs and adventures, and most of all, the friendships forged in this fantastical world, Lyrian has become home to them in a way they never could have imagined.

And so, armed now with the prophecy of a dying oracle, they have gone on their separate quests—each surrounded by brave and powerful allies—knowing that the chance for success is slim. But Jason and Rachel are ready at last to become the heroes Lyrian needs, no matter the cost.

Packed with thrills, action, and drama, this third and final installment of Brandon Mull’s #1 bestselling Beyonders trilogy brings the series to a gripping conclusion.

This book was one of the best closings I have ever read. It was fast-paced and intense nearly the entire time.

I love the fantasy genre. One critique I generally have is the author never knows how to handle its characters' super powers. For example, a character may know how to control people's minds, but doing so would end the conflict - so instead the author has the character cause a tree branch to rustle so the character can make an escape. Not so in this book. The characters are very resourceful and creative.

Also, in Brandon Mull's other books, his adolescent characters did not fit their age. In all aspects his characters should have been in their 20s, (size, strength, comprehension, etc). However, in this book his characters were perfect. The story was very creative and believable. I loved it.

Perfect closing to an amazing story

I didn’t write a review on the last two cuz I was busy starting the next. I’m just at awe at the series. The ending was just sad. Not as “ omg it was bad” but sad as in “ I’m sad to see a friend leave”. It was such a good series. It’s true like other reviews many main characters pass away. I won’t say who. But without sacrifice the ending would be not heart felt. So don’t get attached to them cuz you’ll mourn them as I have. I get attached I my characters when I read a book. So. There. But man is this series good. I hope someone will find it and make it into a movie and be as faithful to it as possible. And not woke. Rachael sounds a certain way. And Jason does too.

Wow. Just wow.

The best thing about this series is the long list of imaginative creatures and characters. Just when you expect him to run out of ideas, Brandon Mull comes up with another unique idea. Lots of fun, this book, and the ending doesn't disappoint.

Creative story telling

Sometimes a special book or series will leave you feeling some type of way after it ends. This is one of those series. Read it or regret it. 11/10

WHAT IT'S ABOUT

MY TAKE
This was an interesting, if long, ending to the series. The characters we've grown attached to go through some horrible things, and many have a trial of their faith. There's the worst kind of people and the best kind of people and the people who have yet to make up their minds what they are. There's faith, despair, courage, and nobility. And most of all, there's sacrifice for something bigger you.

I won't say I needed tissues, but it wouldn't hurt to have some handy.

Like the other two books, this had large body count. This one's was really big. I will say that if I was doing the costumes for movie, I'd definitely put the Drinlings in red shirts. O_o
