great book for preteen and teenagers.

story enticing enough for adults to listen as well. I really enjoyed this book with my 11 year old. we listened to it on a road trip and found it difficult to turn off.

Just the Beginnig

I’ve read three or four of this series years back, and am quite pleased to revisit on Audible. This series oughta be the next major Netflix or HBO fantasy series.

this is one of my favorite book series and I've been waiting for book one to come here. I was so excited when I saw it finally in the store it made me renew my subscription again

Wonderful book

Was really entertaining, however at times it would skip a word or two. But overall a really good book.

read this book twice before. listening to it has made it even better. can't wait to sit and hear the rest of them.

Enjoyable listen

The character development in this beginning book was very good. It made you care about the them and there interactions. I also like that the focus was on the good guys and not the bad. The bad guys did have a back story but that was not the focus. A story that makes you want to do what's right, stand up for others, and find your place in the world and do your best at it, is a story worth the hearing.

Good, but not gripping.

The story itself was good, but I found myself not caring too much about what would happen next. I like the characters, but the plot wasn't well driven. The speaker also didn't seem to always speak with the correct tone or finish sentences with a good period.

Fantastic and engrossing!

The narration is very well done. Excellent story and characters. Can't wait to see what happens in the other books!
