Publisher's Summary

From sizzling storyteller Kylie Scott comes Chaser - an audiobook from the Dive Bar series.

Given his well-earned bad boy reputation, Eric is having a tough time scoring. When single Jean moves to town, she seems heaven-sent by the sex gods. Only problem is, she not only wants nothing to do with him, but it turns out that she’s pregnant.

Starting over in a small town, Jean is determined to turn her wild lifestyle around and be the kind of mother she always wished she’d had. Since local bar owner and all-around hottie, Eric Collins, is now determined to steer clear of her pregnant self, it should be easy. When she goes into labor during a snow storm and her car slides on some ice, it’s Eric who comes to the rescue.

There seems to be a bond between them now, but is it enough? And can Eric give up his manwhore ways to be the man Jean needs? Find out in this steamy audiobook!

Not my favorite

If you could sum up Chaser in three words, what would they be?

Kinda slow burn. Good but not the chemistry of the others in this series.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The male leads thoughts......do guys really think like that?

Would you listen to another book narrated by Will Damron?

Yes, but a different series that I have not been spoiled by the previous narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. needed breaks as it did not keep me gripped.

Any additional comments?

OK book.

I need Andy Arndt to narrate this story!

I love Kylie Scotts'd books and have always enjoyed the story and humor and leaves me drooling for more. The story was good but I didn't like the narrator, his voice brought nothing to the book. I def missed Andy Arndt!

Disappointed

I really like Kylie Scott, so I was pretty disappointed with this. I actually returned it after only a couple of hours in because it was so bad. I have listened to the others in the series and enjoyed them, but after trying really hard to like Eric for two hours, I gave up. He was shallow and immature and not too bright. I just couldn’t root for him. And the male narrator was a little too feminine sounding for my preference; I guess I prefer manly men to sound a little more masculine. Just my two cents worth.

Refreshing Narration!

Oh, my god, my heart is a puddle on the floor… No freaking joke.

Eric is the sweetest most wonderful character I can’t even with how sweet he is. I love that he falls and doesn’t even notice until he has fallen and it wasn’t even for Jean. ;)

Though he does fall for Jean too, just a little later.

His ex/friend is kind of a …… insert a bad word. I totally get why he never spoke up for himself he felt all the guilt but what about all the people around when she was being like that. I wanted to shake my fist!

Jean’s parents were a real trip, and not in a good way… Just saying.

REFRESHING narration!! Don’t get me wrong I love Andi but it was nice to hear someone else narrate a Kylie Scott book I hope we get more new narrators. :)

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

One of the best Whits in the business !

Kylie Scott is one of the few writers that creates dialog that makes me laugh out loud. I’ve read and listened to every series in print or audio over the years. One sad note is the narrator for chaser is not the same as in other series so voices I recognize and identify were not the voices I heard in this book. LoL it’s no longer enough that the book is read to me. Now the voice must be the same regardless of which series I’m reading !

Good story

I love Kylie Scott's books. I started with the stage dive series and fell completely in love. The dive bar series has been just as enjoyable but this story was a little dry for me.

The story was a decent length but I still feel like I wanted more from the characters. Some of the previous books just had a better romantic chemistry for the main characters. I didn't fall in love with their love but I still enjoyed the ride.

Overall, I feel like the book is worth a listen or read.

Expected more

I was a bit leery about purchasing this book because in the other two books, Eric hadn't been exactly a nice character I found the story and performance just OK.
I realized that I missed the dialogue of funny banter between the two main characters that was part of the Stage Dive and other two Dive Bar books. This book seemed more serious and I had a hard time with the drastic change Eric made.

What?

I usually love Kylie Scott. She is one of those authors whom I look forward to seeing on the new release list...but this book lacked depth and detail. I’m not giving up just yet but I’m definitely disappointed in this latest release.

Not a good Sequel

Story not interesting and the narrator was not good at all. Did not keep my attention at all.
