Lost. Stolen. Forgotten…until the Alphabits step in.

A Team A.L.P.H.A. spinoff series.

Six years ago, Lance Lancaster (no, his parents hadn’t hated him - they were just that snooty) lost the only member of his family who cared about him - his six-year old autistic half-brother, Spencer Maximillian. He’s certain the anti-shifter group protesting outside of Spencer’s school is to blame, but no one has made any progress on the case, and he’s certain everyone has given up.

Until Oswald “Ozzy” Ryder and the Alphabits pick up the cold case. Ozzy swaggered into the Maximillian mansion expecting business as usual. He didn’t expect to find a handful of adorably too-big-eared fennec fox with a scent that screamed mate!

With Lance’s obsessive data collection and the Alphabits’ know-how, Lance begins to feel hope he might see his brother again. But things aren’t what they appeared, and it takes the insight of a new team member to put the team on the right track…and hope they’re not too late.

The Alphabits aren’t vigilantes. These former soldiers and officers of the law have to do things by the book - even when it tears them apart to do so. But once all their ducks are in a row, the bad guys had better beware! You do not want this team of protective alphas on your tail.

This is the fourth in the Alphabits series, and should be heard in order for maximum enjoyment. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. The team is growing, along with the complexity of their cases. Get ready for another sweet listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat. HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ listeners only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

I really enjoy this series. We have the story of Spencer who was kidnapped from his school when he was just a little boy. He is also a high functioning autistic little boy who is loved by his older half brother Lance. They are both Fennec Foxes, which are so very cute. When the Alphabits decide to investigate this cold case, Ozzy runs into his fated mate and the sparks fly. I hated Lance’s mother and step father. They were both pieces of worthless excuses of parents. Lance has an inheritance from his bio dad and his step dad is trying to get his hands in because he doesn’t believe an omega is capable of handling things on his own. Spencer is the heir but his parents see him as broken and not worthy of his legacy. When Spencer is found, the reason for his being taken is sickening and what was done to him even more. And as it turns out, there are a group of men with the same ideology as the kidnapper. When Spencer is finally rescued, his parents don’t even bat and eye. Good thing that he has Lance to love and take care of him. We get to see Lance and Ozzy come together as a loving family.

Great continuation of this series

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. This series just keeps getting better. This book has Ozzy finding his true mate Lance. They locate Lance's missing brother Spencer after he's been missing for 6 years. Lance and Ozzy decide to have Spencer live with them instead of going back home to his parents. This series really keeps you motivated not to stop listening to the audio. Once again John Solo does a great job.

I did a lot of laughing in this story of an alpha, Oswald "Ozzie" Ryder, and omega Lance Lancaster, who might not otherwise have met if the cold case of Spencer Maximillian's kidnapping hadn't been chosen for the Alphabits team to work on. And even though the investigation and recovery of the victim eight years after his kidnapping takes up a lot of the first half of the book, the story is more rom-com than romantic suspense, especially when the perpetrator and the other members of his group of predators are all "taken care of" by a vigilante group of shifter felines. The story is sweet for the love that Lance has for his younger half-brother Spencer who is autistic and whose parents are the only ones in his household who didn't truly care for him. Of course, it also wins points for the relationship between Lance and Ozzie, with Lance being the elegant and wealthy omega who loves his sometimes socially awkward alpha, Ozzie. The contrasting relationship between Spence and Lance -- once Spence comes back from his catatonic state -- and between Ozzie and his fraternal twin Patton is well played out, as is the contrast between Lance and Ozzie. And the dramatic moments, as for example, the baby shower that wasn't -- planned to be a disaster by the lovers and helped along by a bumbling alpha whom Lance's parents had hoped to marry him off to -- and the birth of Lance's and Ozzie's twins -- an unexpected blessing -- add great texture to the tale. The narrator does a good job of differentiating the characters, giving most life to Spencer, Lance, and Ozzie.

By turns sweet and funny
