Very cute story

This is a cute story; the narrator does a great job. The only thing I would have changed is to make a longer ending. It seemed to just end suddenly, leaving me wishing I could have heard more.

Wonderful!

Sweet romance with plenty of laughs and giggles and a precious, slightly quirky heroine. An unlikely pair that falls in love despite a rocky beginning. Excellent read and listen.

Sweet short story

I love Amelia Adams’ books! I feel like each one is better than the last. I really enjoyed listening to Cause of Conflict. I loved how Sophie was able to help Edward with his attitude and his health. This is a well-written, researched story that includes humor. Alexis Rome was a good choice for the narrator. Listen to this series!

<3 Sophie

WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Sophie Jones is a spirited girl who wants to bring light into the lives of her patients. Dr. Edward Gregory is a man afflicted with demons both physical and emotional. When the two are assigned to work together as part of Sophie's training, it seems they will never get along, but a common goal may just be the key to unlocking their conflict.

MY TAKE
Sophie is adorable! I love her enthusiasm and sense of humor. But Edward is a serious grump. Talk about water and oil not mixing. But there's more to the story, and Sophie shows how bright she is as well.

My husband (also names Edward coincidentally) suffers from FMS and migraines, so I'm used to someone dealing with chronic pain. It takes all your energy and patience to cope, not leaving you with anything to share with others. And pain can make you quite cranky.

It is a case of insta-love between them--once they get past the walls of antagonism and learn about each other--but insta-love isn't uncommon in these shorter stories. Or even in real life.

A very enjoyable read. I listened to the audiobook, and Alexis Rome, the narrator, did a decent job.

I loved the book...

... but I was blown away by this audible edition. Sophie Jones, a young nurse in training, meets Dr Edward Gregory, a doctor at the training hospital. Sophie is bubbly and talkative, qualities that Edward doesn't value. When he gives her a dressing down, she gives it right back, stating that his headaches, that Edward had told no one about, were causing him to make errors that she had covered for. Speaking to the Head Doctor and Nurse, Sophie voices her concern for Edward, and since she is so observant, she is assigned to shadow Edward and take notes on his activity and condition. Thrown together, Edward begins to see Sophie in a different light.
Alexis Rome reads the story well, bringing it to life. I can really "see" Sophie as the wonderful caring Nurse of Amelia C. Adams story. I received this audible edition in exchange for an honest review.

Quick read(listen)

A short, sweet historical romance. It had a nice rhythm to the book. The heroine was a bit aggravating in the beginning. But that is the part of the changes needed to develop her character.
