Great book! But why does Peeta sound so stupid?

I love the book! I can't quite forgive the performer that she makes Peeta sound so stupid. His ability to speak and charm people is his great forte, and she makes him sound feebleminded. Her voice is great otherwise, but Peeta needs to sound smart and worth listening to.

Great Story, Incredibly Irritating Narrator

Love this book and series, but I almost can't get through this audio version. The narrator is so awful. Its as if Kristen Stewart is narrating, with a low, dull voice, barely any inflection, and often sounding constipated when Katniss is experiencing any emotional upheaval/ difficult decision, which is often. Her voice acting for Peeta is the actual worst! She makes him sound dimwitted and slow, which is the most irritating since he is my favorite character. The voice acting for Haymitch is not much better. I wish I hadn't purchased this version and will not purchase another audio book with this narrator.

This book is good but…

I hate it how the narrator makes Peeta sounds so ignorant in the story
But this is such a great book! And the narrative fits Katniss perfectly.

Catching Fire

I don’t really need to review the book as I am sure most of you already know what goes down because of either the movies or you have already read it. But just to say I loved how innocent Katniss is. It reminds me to remember that she is still a young girl. She just has all this heavy stuff to deal with. But then she also has what is to come after the games happened. That is a lot for anyone to handle.

Gale kinda pee’d me off, you see he doesn’t understand how hard everything was on Katniss. He never really gave her a chance to explain herself or what she was feeling. Heck half the time she didn’t know herself. She never had the chance to understand what she was feeling because she had someone always keeping an eye on her.

I feel like everyone asks too much of her, even Peta at times didn’t see just how much pressure she was under.

That ending gets me every time.

I loved the narration, Tatiana give this book life. I love the way she gives each character a voice. I am so glad I decided to listen.

preferred the narrator of the first book

it was still a good narration. I just thought the first narrator did a better job with makes voices which made it a bit easier to follow but I eventually caught onto the differences and it was still great overall.

once again the narrator lives each and every moment and I love it I wish every book was narrated this good

Amazing narration

Great book and even better narrator. I listen to a LOT of audiobooks and Tatiana Maslany is the best narrator I’ve ever heard. I wish she could read them all.

better than the movie

while the voice struggles with male voices, they are consistent. letting you know who is speaking. great book and solid performance from the orator. excitment translates well.
