Hard Listen

This is the third book/first series I've read/listened to by Eva Winners. It was a great continuation that was difficult to listen to at times. But I love how different the storylines are and how easy the characters are to like! I was completely immersed into the audiobook. I think this one is my favorite so far.

Karl Michaels and Penelope Ann Rose are excellent narrators. Love their voices. They brought the audiobook to life with emotional performances. Well Done!

Very good, but….

Three books into the series it becomes clear that Winners is going to inject lengthy, repetitive bouts of inner dialogue into every scene. Not only does she “bookend” each scene w/ the MC thoughts, but there’ll be a minute or more string of inner dialogue between each comment in a conversation and each step in an action scene.

The story itself is very good, but when what a character is thinking interrupts the flow to this degree - especially if it’s redundant dialogue - it can become frustrating.

Belles & Mobsters (Cassio)

Eva does it again, Another beautiful and full of action book. I read this one on Kindle, but i just needed to get the Audio Version and let me tell you this is 1000% better. The best part is the Duet Narration, Penelope and Karl portrayed Cassio and Aine perfectly. Can't wait for the rest of the series and all the other books.

Emotional and Thrilling!

This is the third book in the Belles and Mobsters series, a Dark Mafia Romance. I love this series! Cassio and Áine's story is emotional, thrilling, and enthralling, filled with action, secrets, revenge, and twists and turns. Cassio is handsome, protective, and supportive. Áine is strong, smart, and determined. The supporting characters are intriguing. The world building is intricate, and captivating. Great narration from Penelope Ann Rose and Karl Michaels. Looking forward to listening to Alexei, the next book in the series. I highly recommend it. #PFPAudio

Book 3 Belles & Mobsters

Every book in this series is phenomenal. I am loving the Belles & Mobsters.
This book did not disappoint.
Cassio saved Aine when she was young. Nine years later they cross paths again.
Cassio sets his goals on getting Aine. Aine sets her goals on taking down Marco King, yes the half brother of Cassio.
Although, Cassio and Aine have had “relations” in the past, she is forced to marry Cassio.
I know there is a lot to unpack with the storyline, but it is wonderful!
Penelope Ann Rise and Karl Michaels did an excellent job with the narration. Karl was a true mobster, and Penelope was a strong FMC.

spice

spice isn't often but good. Tell me why in these books that virgins orgasm the 1st time. everytime. I remember not getting anywhere close to that the first time.

dark intense

Casio and Aina met when she was 14. She was a victim, he was her hero. As an adult, Aina has snippets of flashbacks and nightmares of her kidnapping. She Never sees the face of her savior.
Casio sees Aina in Vegas, he was enthralled by her beauty. Aina is an adult now, he knew she was the red headed , strong girl he saved years before.. He had a plan in place to make her his.
Secrets, lies, action packed, mystery, steamy kept me on the edge.of .my seat.
Ann Rose and Karl Michaels with emotion in their narration of this story. They captured the voices , personalities, and essence of the characters and story. they were explosive, the angst, anger and passion was felt throughout the story. very well.done.

Cassio and Aine forever!

Cassio Cassio Cassio, where to even start with him. He's cold, ruthless, and from a long line of sick killers basically. But when it comes to Aine he is different. From the moment he saw her while rescuing her he felt a connection and something he'd never felt before.
During the book you see a softer side to Cassio, he loves his sister, nieces, brother, and now Aine. He goes to extreme lengths to get Aine and is determined to keep her.
Aine went through a lot as a young teen. She has blocked many of the memories and has become a sort of vigilante rescuing sex trafficked women. She's tough, and I love that. BUT, there were several times where you wanted her to just shut up and stop arguing! More than once, I thought she was kinda dense and that was annoying.
Obviously there's a HEA, getting there was rough at times but worth it.
I went into this one thinking it would be my favorite book of the series, and while it wasn't it was still a great read. Cassio is definitely one of my favs. But now I'm most looking forward to Luca and Margaret's book to hear their story!

Penelope Ann Rose and Karl Michaels did a fantastic job narrating the audiobook. I hadn't listened to either of them before this, but I am officially a fan!
