An odd but extremely interesting story, be aware that there’s a lot of trauma situations included in the story. The only downside to the story is it doesn’t really have an ending and you have to continue to the next book. I do recommend the story because I found it to be very intriguing.

I really enjoyed the narrations for this and the book greatly! Every book that I’ve read by Alta Hensley has been amazing. The two narrators sound great and I’m picky!

Went into this blind and...religious cultists? I have to be honest, this did not catch my attention at all and I barely have a conception of the story 😔 except for the part where the father kills the h's beloved cat. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Narrators were great.
Warning for senseless animal cruelty.

Christopher & Ember: to triggers - religion, however domestic abuse, child abandonment, kidnapping, assault, animal cruelty & abuse. I really wanted to like this because the concept was good. but I despise Bible thumpers that use the word of God and twist it to satisfy their own twisted mind. ugh. outside of the book, I enjoyed it.

the narration... OMG it was so slow, which made the book seem boring and it wasn't the tempo of the app, it was actually the way it was being read.
