Publisher's Summary

In Cancer Is Not a Disease!, best-selling author and internationally acclaimed health expert Andreas Moritz argues that cancer is the physical symptom of the body’s final attempt to eliminate specific life-destructive causes. He claims that removing such causes sets the precondition for complete healing of the body, mind, and emotions. This book confronts you with a radically new understanding of cancer - one that outdates the current cancer model.

Cancer Is Not a Disease! shows you what actually causes cancer, why regular cancer treatments can be fatal, and how you can remove the obstacles that prevent the body from healing itself. It argues that cancer is not an attempt on your life: To the contrary, cancer is trying to save it. Unless we change our perception of what cancer really is, it will continue to threaten nearly one out of every two people. This book opens a door for those who wish to turn feelings of victimhood into empowerment and self-mastery and disease into health.

Andreas Moritz is an author, lecturer, and practitioner in the field of alternative and integrative medicine. He is the author of over a dozen books on various subjects pertaining to holistic health.

Some very good... some very bad...

The premise of this book and some of the research cited is extremely eye-opening. The author spends considerable time showing us that cancer is not to be feared, and that it's the body's defense survival mechanism to protect and heal something that is out of balance or damaged. Since clearly we aren't winning the war on cancer, I loved this approach and am highly intrigued by the notion that we should work WITH cancer rather than fighting against it. I plan to listen to this book again, and then search out others like it. (I don't have cancer, but have friends and family who have.)

That being said, it's hard to put complete and total faith into each point of research when some of it is very flawed and contradictory. For example, the author spends considerable time telling us how cancer was extremely rare prior to the 1900s, and even rarer as you go back further in time. Yet he then spends an entire chapter talking about how meat is bad and a strong carcinogen. Sometimes he says "processed meat" and makes references to hormones, nitrates and antibiotics in our meat. Yet he mostly lumps meat altogether in one category as being "bad." I was scratching my head over that one. Does that go to say that our ancestors prior to 1900 never ate meat? Hardly. Humans have thrived off of meat since the beginning of time. It might have made more sense and offered better credibility if he spent time determining WHAT exactly about our meat today is harmful. I would beg to differ that a pasture-raised grass-fed steak or wild venison is as carcinogenic as a cheap, commercially bought hot-dog.

After listening to that section, I became disheartened because I wasn't sure exactly what to trust at that point. Maybe down the road he'll published a revised version and look into some of the data around the Paleo concepts of eating more like our ancestors and help consumers understand what to look for (and what to avoid) when choosing our diets. To nudge people toward vegetarianism as a way to prevent cancer is just wrong and conflicts with his message that cancer is a modern-day affliction.

Solid, compelling core - fluff and jumble filler

The Narrator did a great job, although some of the medical terms weren't pronounced how you'd hear them in the medical office or lab. There's certainly a pile of not-quite-accurate data, some of which could be considered misinformation, if not for the disclaimer at the start of the book. The section where arsenic was regarded as an unbelievable thing to consider safe at any dose was particularly laughable... I wish it weren't so, because the heavy disparagement towards the medical field as a whole made the very real and very potent message inside hard to stomach. The core message about cancer's relationship to emotional/spiritual illness and rejection is very important, I just wish the rest of the book appealed to my rationality as well as my emotions, as both are factors for a balanced view, a balanced human system, and balanced decisions. Also, many plugs for other products and where you can buy them - so much for the medical conspiracy being the only ones out to make a profit off of trying to help!
Not an authority, but an interesting, compelling perspective.

Finally I understand

Should I ever have to face the evolution of cancer I now completely understand it and how to reverse it. Every word in this book resonated with me as truth at a cellular level. Thank you Andreas for giving us this gift. Every doctor who believes what he is being told by his or her industry should read this and then look at the studies themselves. I think the ones who are truly doctors to heal people would change how they practice medicine. Simply wonderful work

Poeple are s unaware, this book is one of many tha

Where does Cancer Is Not a Disease! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's one of the more informative of its type, the information makes so much more sense but big pharma, and conventional medicine don't make as much money if we aren't running scared. All people should explore this book, the china study, and all books of its kind, what you will learn will blow your mind; prepare to get a little angry as well!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cancer Is Not a Disease!?

The actual process of how cancer is formed and what our bodies is doing to protect us, cancer is a natural process of excessive toxins. Just read it, common sense we are not taught is at the core of what our bodies is doing with regards to why our body forms cancer cels.

Which character – as performed by Richard Powers – was your favorite?

All of it

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I doubt that would happen, big pharma would prevent it.. They don't care if we live, big pharma is about making money. Our welfare & healing from disease is not profitable for our medical industry. Keeping us medicated & sick is more their style.

Any additional comments?

Open your eyes people, we are being lied too. There is no emphasis in western medicine on healing, its about medicating. Sad but true, be your own medical advocate, because the hospitals could worsen your situation. Do the research, its all there in scientific study after study.
There is no disease that's not curable...only people!

Alternative Health for Cancer Summarized

Since my cancer diagnosis I have started reading everything I can regarding alternative treatments. Susan Somers' book "Knockout" was helpful, but this book took it to the next level, a level where better decisions can be made. Many ideas in this book are congruent with my herbal training. Be warned, this is a summary book and the author mentions many of his other books often. I have ordered a copy of "The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush."

Very Informational

Would you consider the audio edition of Cancer Is Not a Disease! to be better than the print version?

I found the entire idea to have a very real/ true ring to it. Moritz questions the way we look at a disease or condition and the way he teaches you to examine the cause and not the effect is a way of thinking that works in all aspects of life. A great read for someone to read who doesn't have cancer, or just found out they have cancer, or wants to reduce chances of getting cancer. I can see how it may be a downer for those in the mist of chemo or radiation treatments though.

The title says it all.

An honest and extremely informative book. Easy to follow: So much to learn and take in.
It clearly explains and defines the meaning of healing modalities and the real options available.
I wish Andreas was still alive.

Maybe too much to believe

I am absolutely on the side that cancer is not an easy matter but tbh this book instead of making me not afraid of it, made me anxious. It explains everything what can cause cancer. And seemingly everything can cause cancer according to the author, even WATER let it be tapped or bottled... But what cannot cause cancer is SMOKING and I think this book lost me there, when it was said that even fruits are not good for us but btw smoking really does not cause cancer and I believe in some cases it was said to even prevent it... So Idk, I have mixed feelings..... I do not think this book can really calm a cancer patient and give good methods. Basically during 13 chapters it is explaining why everything is causing cancer and then in 1 chapter it lists things you can do about it but without going into details (cause for that u have to purchase other books from the author)
Also I found the book very repetitive and has a lot of promotions to purchase other books from the author.

Cancers diseases. This book provides dangerous concepts which should be taken with lots of salt. Ignore this if you have an ounce of common sense.

Only one problem

Fructose is a simple sugar a monosaccharide which the book refers to not been good if you have too much fruit. I know this to be incorrect.

Lookup Dr Morse for an explanation on YouTube or look for the answer on www.rawfigs.com and type in any health related issue into the search box for the truth about any disease.

Goldmine of information!

I found this book excellent, a great source of information for a potential cancer patient and very good, clear narration. There are many tips that can be followed to improve your outlook and help you feel better. Every oncologist should read this - although Big Pharma wouldn't allow that! But this book will help you through the long process of treatment and help you feel more positive about your future.
