A swing and a miss!

I have enjoyed this series but this installment was just a whole lot of mess.
Sorry, but Ryker has no business in the US and this author has no business writing about the US because it is obvious he lacks the knowledge to truly capture the essence or the politics and people of the US-- and most especially of the South. It was just off in so many ways. I guess if you are ideologically inclined to hate people on the right side of the spectrum, you would like this book but if you aren't so ideologically driven you will be left scratching your head trying to reconcile this version of America and especially of the South.
Also, poor Marston York, who could make a telephone directory sound pleasant was absolutelty not suited to try and read a book with characters from Georgia-- the state, not the country. His "accent" was so strange, and it would come and go in the same paragraph, and the vocalizations would get muddled so often that a few times it was confusing as to who was saying what...
Lastly, since I didn't read a hard-copy, I am assuming that the "narrator" or first-person viewpoint from which the whole book is told was not "Ryker" [even though this is the James Ryker thriller series] but the American antagonist and the production team made a choice to have Marston York read that [the first person account/narration of the Southern American antagonist] normally-- as in Marston York's normal voice-- not a characterization. The problem is, York's very pleasant voice is that of a British man! Talk about a headscratcher of a decision. It took quite some time to actually realize that the narration was not from "Ryker" but from a Southerner since the narrater had a British accent...
This was just messy but not entirely unpleasant. It just made me question what everyone involved in writing, narrating and producing was actually thinking!
