Hurt into love

This is a story about hurt lots of hurt for Cullen and Everly. Their pasts are entwined and Cullen is looking to hurt Everly. The way he goes about enforcing his hurt is disturbing but Everly seems to like the pain. I enjoyed that this story was an older woman younger man it’s very rare that I read stories from this perspective.

HOT! HOT! HOT!

I have read this book twice (first as Spitfire) and then when Sara Cate released the full novel as Burn for Me. Both times I have LOVED EVERY FORBIDDEN PART OF IT. The book is ANGSTY AND SO HOT, but the audiobook was scorching. Allie Martina and Gideon Frost really turned the fire up. Their narration of Everly and Callum was exceptional, The two of them made the characters of Everly and Callum so much more powerful - the angst, the tension, the temptation. Now if you have read this book you know it has some very spicy scenes that are not for everyone (or you may discover some unknown kinks). Reading those scenes is one thing, but listening to them - yeah that's a WHOLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. My entire body was on fire. I'm not even going to deny it.

I want to give a shout out to Allie Martina. This is only the second book I have listened to narrated by her, but it most definitely will not be the last. I first listened to Allie when she narrated by favorite book ever "Gravity" also by Sara Cate and she was just fantastic. Both Gravity and Burn for Me are books with unconventional and forbidden love stories. To be able to narrate the female characters in these stories and give them the voice they deserve it is amazing. Allie is definitely someone to look out for.

Loved this twisted yet seductive romance

I really enjoyed listening to this story it was very hot and steamy. I enjoyed the fact that age is just number and love and infatuation can be found anywhere between two consenting adults. I really liked the female lead in this story she was full of fire and always stands up for what she thinks is right. Allie Martina the narrorator did a phenomenal job as always telling this story and I will listen to just about anything she narrorates she brings so much life to a story 😊 I really think if you are someone who enjoys steamy bad boy romances then this book is totally for you.

Very hot!!

I liked this book a lot. It was very hot, but it could be a little bit longer just for a little bit better story development.

Harsh edges with a hint of vulnerability

Cullen (age 18) is a student in Everly’s (age 32) Journalism class. They have a twisted history where’s Everly’s discovery ruins Cullen’s life.
This story is a true bully romance. While I’m not generally a fan of reverse age gap I really enjoyed this story. Cullen is angry, dominant and possessive so my favorite kind of character. Everly’s sweet and slightly submissive nature wins him over. Add in the super spicy scenes and an overall good story.

Narrators Allie and Gideon were perfect voices for the characters and did a great job. Really brought the words to life!

Well hello, unexpected five star read!! This was so hot, and I was seriously not expecting to love this like I did. I DEVOURED this and left zeroooo crumbs. Cullen was sexy asf, and Everly and him together were like fire and gaseline. 💥

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that the reverse age gap trope was for me, but this firmly changed my mind. Now I need more of this trope!

Also, the audiobook was perfection. 👌🏼

Sara is an amazing kinky writer and this was just as amazing as all the others. Must read and cant wait till the second book comes out with the audio

Eye opening and riveting story

This was a wholly cow am I going to be able to hear this one 😬 Reverse Age Gap, older women vs older man heck yeah then throwing in the past with both characters intertwined and wholly yikes. But I kept going and thank god I did because Sara Cate opened my eyes to these two and how sometimes the past doesn’t determine the future or even the present.

Seriously sexy scenes, torment and disturbing pasts abound in this book and the narration kept me fully engaged. Gideon made Cullen go between determined survival to demented tortured soul but we got to see how the past formed him and how his thoughts changed over time spent with Everly the first person who seemed to care. I’m not going to lie and say that at first I wasn’t shocked by the sexual relationship between the main characters. But Allie Martina’s performance and Sara’s crafted story telling reeled me into the story and thank his for its HEA.

Intense & dark and forbidden !

If you like your romance on the dark and forbidden side, this audio is for you!!
Sara Cate is brand new to me as well as both narrators.

I'm not going to lie, I initially started this and stopped and almost DNF. I wasn't in the right headspace for this book, so I put it aside and picked it back up 2 days ago and devoured it!! I also probably burned a thousand calories while listening to this one.!!
Teacher/student forbidden romance is not my usual listen, but both Allie and Gideon brought the heat to this audio!!

By the end of this book I was all in for this HEA! I was happy that both Cullen and Everly changed and developed into something better than how they started! I honestly didn't like either character initially, but Sara is a talented author and she drew me in and changed my mind.

I need to check out more of Sara's audio and hopefully both of these narrators will team up again! Gideon's voice was perfectly suited for Cullen. He had his sullen, angry attitude but also vulnerable. Allie was great as Everly and I enjoyed her inner battle to fight her initial attraction to Cullen.
