Tiago is a manifestation of The Outliers concept explained by Malcom Gladwell regarding how to stay organized in our world today. My intuition was trying to figure out the concepts outlined in the second brain book. Incredibly Insightful

I am a Project Manager and naturally am very organized. I already do most of what is taught here. However, I related to the common frustrations he describes and am excitedly implementing the solutions.

It took some selling on the part of the author (because let's face it, I'm smarter than everyone 😉) but CODE and PARA are now my go-to organizing principles. The most notable paradigm shift to me is that PARA is not a filing system, it's a PRODUCTION system.

Methodical and Logical

I first purchased this book in print and began reading over holiday. Eager to implement what I was learning, I was extremely short on time. Skeptical of how a book on this topic would translate to an audiobook, I went for it anyway, knowing I had the book in print to reference. I was surprised at the concepts came through clearly and easily understood through the audiobook format. Happy to have completed the book and will continue to pull concepts into my daily life.

Very practical - plan to incorporate it into my life and business as great organizational mental and logistical tool.

Too much fluff and ie too long winded

Like the theory and construct, the content and rambling were too much. Could have been 1/2 the length and still too busy. The extra materials and bonus items or afterthoughts were of more value. Listen on 1.5 speed and skip the fluff sections!

Very helpful for managing info and projects

I’m a new software analyst. I put this system to use within OneNote and it has been immensely helpful managing the large amounts of info and multiple simultaneous projects I deal with. He also managed to make what could be a dry topic pretty interesting to listen to. Thank you!

Mindset Shift

If you are looking for a way to handle the constant overload of information in your life, this book might be for you. However, BASB is not a quick-fix or one-size-fits-all set of rigid steps to follow that will magically make you organized. It is a way of thinking and and the creation of small habits you build over time. It is incredibly personal and you will have to take the ideas in this book and think about how to apply them to your life.

If you have also read James Clear’s “Atomic Habits” and David Allen’s “GTD”, BASB is the next step in being able to work on your life instead always working in your life.

Great intro to lifelong PKM

I had a head start on this but I think it's an amazing resource for anyone who wants to organize notes beyond a single project, to get compounding gains over time.
