Good book, bad audio

This would have been a good audiobook but it had a lot of skips, pauses, and static making it very frustrating to listen to. The story was great except for the author not telling us what happened with the friendship with Claudette, she just left us hanging.

the story line saved this audio

the audio WAS HORRIBLE! my God where was this recorded?! it sounded like it was recorded in someone's bathroom. I wished I listened to my gut, after listening to the sample I just should've known, however the story was great! I should've just stuck to the book... the story was chef's kiss good.. get rid of the audio please or re-record because this was not worth the credit I spent to listen it.

Umm...

I loved this book when I read it and was so excited when it came to audible. But the narrator's male voice was bad. It wasn't any different from her female voice, so it was hard to follow sometimes. The sound quality wasn't good. There were long pauses and rereading of lines. I had a hard time finishing.

great story, terrible audio production

this was a wonderful second chance romance! I personally love the details included in lengthy reads, so this story was perfect. but the audio was annoying! there was excessive background noise, re-recorded sections, etc. it was so bad that multiple times I wanted to stop listening, but the story made me stick it out. it was worth it!

The story is beautiful. The narrator was not great. The recording made it tough to figure out who was speaking when.

The story is good but the audio is problematic. There was background noise throughout the book!

I don’t know

I love this author which is why I’m so confused by this book. I don’t think I liked it, but I didn’t hate it. It was kind of boring. I wish we would have seen them fall in love, or maybe gave us something else. Maybe I just didn’t really care for either character. Who knows, but this definitely wasn’t it, which is sad bc I love ALL of her books.

The narration and background noise was distracting

The narrator seemed bored a majority of the story and would oddly end chapters with no inflections making the statement of the next chapter odd. Then, there’s the random audio issues and background noises that pulled away from the story.

However, the story itself was cute and well written. I do wish we had more insight to the three years they were apart.

Amazing story BUT.....

This author is my new go to, she’s that amazing. What was a significant flaw in this was the narration which by far was the worst I’ve encountered on Audible. Did it take away from the story ? Somewhat, as it was a major distraction. The clark family narration was stellar and I was disappointed the same narrators weren’t used. There were times I was confused which character was actually speaking. Anyways loved the story , Evelyn’s a genius but narration quality was an absolute hot mess.

Good story

There were some audio issues through out this story.
But the story was good. You just need to stay with it after the beginning. I would recommend the story.
