Arrow Nez is all about that pack life. If it's not about the pack or his business, it's not about him.

He's put in a lot of work to prove himself to his pack and his adopted father after an indiscretion that was punishable by death. Childhood trauma has broken him to the point of feeling incapable of loving and being loved. When a beautiful stranger stumbles onto tribal land there are more questions than answers. Who is she? Where has she come from? The most important question is, will she be the iron needed to mend a broken Arrow?

Daanis Branham is built to survive by any means necessary for herself and her baby girl Marlani. After the death of her parents, love did not come easily for her or without pain. The day that she realizes that she has nothing to lose by breaking free of the chains that bind her, she makes the decision to do just that, break free. When her survival instincts lead her to a foreign land, will it become a beastly massacre? Will she be accepted, shunned, or killed? The most important question is, will her iron be enough to mend the broken Arrow?

Indulge in the recreation of an Arrow and the iron that binds it.

Arrow didn't know what hit him, I'm so glad he didn't fight caring and loving who the gods sent for him to love. He fell in love with that baby. I will be listening to some more books from Mel Dau.

Enjoyed this series

Great short story. Not unnecessarily drawn out. Appreciated that there was not multiple chapters of how the tribe became shifters and shifter history. Good character flow and many chuckles. Further appreciated the subject of trafficking and how quick it can happen to people without a trafficking essay in the middle of the story. Narrators are not consistent in the pronunciation of Daanis. Quite hilarious that her uncle was corrected on the pronunciation of Daanis then shortly after it was mispronounced by the narrator. The mispronunciations do not detract from a good listen.

Sweet Story

Will definitely look for more from this author. Representation matters and this story was a great shifter romance.

Great read!

I can’t say enough how much I love Mel Dau style of writing. I love when life gives you lemonades from lemons. Both were perfect for each other. We all have some level of brokeness. The key is recognizing it and getting the help to be the best version of yourself. I am glad Arrow and Danis did that. It’s sad how sick some people really are. I am glad they got exactly what they deserved.

Awesome

This story offered romance, suspence, and a little action. I really enjoyed the focus on family and romance.

So happy that I found black shifters!!!

Overall I enjoyed the story and have enjoyed all the books from this author set in this universe, so to speak. The narrator for Daanis wasnt very good in my opinion. Her tone and pronunciation didnt fit the energy of the written words. When the character used certain slang or AAVE, it wasn’t believable and sounded awkward. So it was distracting to me. But again the book is enjoyable if you get past that.

Good story. Narration could be better
