Damn fine book

To be honest I didnt think they would survive. But through ingenuity and sheer will Cato and Macro make for highly entertaining adventure.

I have Read every book in this series and hands-down this is the best one yet

Romans in Northern England in the Winter

Good story as always, with Macro and Cato fighting the Picts in Northern Britannia in the winter.
Wish all the other books in the series were available on Audible.

emotionally powerful, but also filled with the battles we have come to love. Dramatic ending

the emotion evoked from this story really hits you and has more of an impact than the other books. can't wait to read the next one.
