Cozy, fun and tears

Another re listenable joy in my life. Thank you for making this. The story didn’t go as I expected, but I’d say those twists and turns are what make a fulfilling life/story.

Fun, adventurous and enjoyable

I think this is my favorite so far. I could see the author's characters as The Past (Elf), The Present (Goblin) and the future (Ratkin) all together on a fun adventure.

The Journey of Self

I really like this series, its character development, humor, and layered fantasy world. Cozy up to a warm fire with a warm drink, perhaps a pastry, and enjoy.

Funny and full

Another hit! The story is as full as the previous two, a side quest full of laughter and bravery. A must listen!

Starts Slow, but Gets Going Well

Fern is a bookseller who years ago had and adventure where she met her Orke friend. After 20 yrs Fern is struggling to be happy with herself, so she packs up and moves to the town her friend lives. One night she gets drunk and decided to tell her friend that she is discontent, but sits on a wagon to catch her breath and passes out. She wakes on a whole different town miles away, and so her adventure begins.

Mr. Baldree’s Done It Again

Brigands & Breadknives picks up after the Epilogue of Bookshops & Bonedust.

As the cover will infer, this is book where Fern is the main character and it follows her story of trying to define her story.

We get brief but charming moments with Viv, Tandri, and Thimble, made all the richer by Cal sharing his wisdom in the way only he can….hmm.

Now for the critique, if you’re looking for more Viv, you’ll likely be disappointed.

If you’re looking for a cozy adventure with a foul mouthed ratkin, a hero known across the land, and a goblin steeped in chaos, then you are in luck.

This is a wonderful adventure and, as per usual with Mr. Baldree’s books, full of strong females. This book does have more fantasy based adventure than coziness, but the core of the characters will still keep you as warm as some hot bean water with milk.

I have two “complaints” but they complaints only in the loosest sense. One, I love Tandri, and I’ll never not want more stories about her. Two, the number of times I was in public listening to this while laugh-crying with joy likely made me look like a crazy person. (If you saw a round-ish man in has late forties walking around Omaha Targets laughing and crying at the same time, it was probably me and it was probably this book.

Binged it!

Enjoyed every bit of this book. more action then the last few but right up my alley.
