Publisher's Summary

Three women.
One man.
A whole lot of monsters.

Malem is a breaker. He breaks the minds of beasts, exerting the steel vise of his will over their own, bending them to his wishes.

His ability is severely limited in terms of the types of creatures he can control and how many. Most monsters have always been beyond him.

And then one day he accidentally breaks a monster girl. Doors begin to open for him faster than he thought possible.

Note: This book contains harem elements. The main character certainly isn't shy around women, and the magic system is unique in ways you might not expect. Also, the story can get a tad dark in places.

Great book and refreshing take on fantasy

Was a joy to listen to and unlike some other books that are drowned in sex. I found myself enjoying the moderation used here, weaving both good story telling and those hotter moments without overshadowing each other. Nice magic and ability system that explains how the MC gets his strength. instead of just having a suddenly overpowered MC. cant wait til the next one comes out. The narration was great as well.

Just all around Meh

I couldn't finish the book as it just felt overwhelmingly meh to me. The main character was constantly wanting to build relationships, but then went no one will understand so I can't have people around. But, if they are female I will have sex with them...That's all I got from him which made it hard for me to care about him.

A Surprisingly Mature Harem

Obviously, this is a harem story. Girls on the cover surrounding our MC, I thought I knew what this would be all about. Well, I only mostly knew what is was about.

The main character; Malum, is a well nuanced character who I felt had some real depth to him. A man who knows what he wants, and is absolutely not afraid to take it; he's not the shining knight a lot of main characters are. In fact, during the first arc of the book, I found myself thinking he was kind of scummy more than once. That did not last, and I was strongly emphasizing with him halfway through the story.

Luke Daniels did an amazing job bringing the characters, like he always does.

The ladies were all unique, with blatantly different personalities, again helped by the masterful performance.

Breaker was a damn good ride, and I'll be back for more.

Decent story made better by Luke Daniels

Pretty typical harem fantasy but the author does a good job putting his own spin on the genre so it doesn't seem stale. It's nice that all the female characters dont immediately want to jump into bed with the MC and the sex scenes were kept fairly short but tastefully descriptive. They also fit into the story and didn't seem forced for the sake of fan service. All the main characters were likable and I laughed more than once at the monkey's antics. All in all the story was solid if not outstanding and I'll be continuing to the next book.

As always Luke Daniels does a fantastic job bringing you into the story. My only issue was at the very end when he voices the female elf character in a fairly masculine voice. hopefully he tweaks it a little bit in the next book.

It drags on at the end

It's what I expected. Guy makes a harem and sleeps with them. There was some pretty cool moments. I do feel it could have ended earlier, the last 2-3hrs felt a little rushed.

a good start

right so let me get this out of the way right now as much as I love Luke Daniels The Voice he chose for our hero in this one was fucking aggravating with his Batman growl there are a number of annoying little nip pics like the whole Beast breaker thing and Suns hand's breath thing that I get I'm supposed to be fantasy terms that exist in the world to make it feel more alive and Rio and yada yada yada but every time this came up it literally just ruined the whole experience it felt like we had to stop the story to explain this arbitrary thing he threw in there that felt out of place and kind of weird however all that aside I had fun I like their hero I loved our ladies there was genuine tension and concern for a lot of what was going on I'm excited about the next book

Absolute garbage, what the actual f***

I'm sorry for Luke Daniels, a top narrator, this book is not doing you any favours. Luke was the reason I purchased this book the story revolves around a want to be Witcher with zero literary or fantasy credibility. The character breaks women's wills surrendering themselves to a ridiculous beast tamer. One woman is a prostitute who decides she's an assassin with a magical blade who gets with him after she'd been spurned by him a few chapters earlier, another one is bedded later that allows the main character to dominate a dragon lady which he has sex with during a battle with generic orc creatures trying to break into their hiding place while the assassin tries to cut her way through a stone wall. I genuinely have no idea how this shit got published. the women in this story willingly throw themselves at this disgusting character. there's no real obstacle or challenge in the story. I don't know how old this author is but it's written like some 16 year olds fantasy. how is this guy a best seller? people! wake up! there's much better lit out there.. Luke Daniels, please please please proof read this shit before you take the job. this is almost as bad as that podium publishing smut lit shit. you're better than that.

Generic Trash Harem Clone.

The entire story is delusional, there is literally nothing I like about the audiobook. Replace the darkness/mc with the word shit. The monsters with maggots and the harem with flys and you have the character dynamic of the audiobook.

I cant even imagine listening to this without speeding it up as the story has no suspense, The characters are cookiecuttered with little or no depth. They tell you some characters backstorys and like the goblins and expect you to be moved, the fights is basically just the mc cheating with the enemies being literal mobs, gah its so bad! Why does this have a good rating?

A different take

The story arc has a different take on shared abilities and power that I’ve remembered reading for some time along with a decent arc makes for a great listen when combined with Luke’s narrative. He is always been one of my favourite narrators Well worth the listen.
