Publisher's Summary

A mother’s latent fears rise as relentlessly as the Florida seas in a startling story of a planet, and an imagination, under pressure, by the New York Times bestselling author of Fates and Furies.

During an eco-friendly cleanup at the beach, Ange finds something horrifying in the brush. The sickening, heartbreaking evidence of an irreversibly changing earth triggers dread about the future for her daughter. But as reasoned worries slide into paranoia, reality itself begins to untether. For Ange, there may be no stepping back from the destructive darkness of her sleepless nights.

Not good...

Confusing and totally impossible to follow. The narration was the only good thing about this short story.

Definitely not for me...

Well this is more like what I expected when I downloaded the Warmer Collection... All the doom and gloom wrapped up in a short story that only leaves the reader hanging, without resolution (one of my pet peeves!) I guess we're going to hafta assume it all went to sh*t... And really there wasn't anything the narrator could've done to fix this...

Confusing

It was short, but very confusing to me. Narration was good, but I was so lost.

Well-Written But Depressing

Don't listen to this unless you're interested in watching the slow-moving trainwreck of the heroine's mental health as she agonizes over the implications of climate change in Florida. The narration was excellent, but the story was a downer.

Cleansing Oneself

An environmental story that every human should read. Our responsibility to future generations is told in this very creative story about loss and hope. It’s about searching for
a way to cleanse our souls...

Ok if you like doomsday type books.

There was really no hope in this book. I was a real downer from beginning to end
