The last rite was never meant to be found.

Ten years ago, the love of Daniel's life disappeared. Then Daniel learns that not only did she commit suicide, but she left behind a daughter he never knew he had. Taking his estranged daughter home, Daniel gets detoured to the small logging town of Shellington Heights, a town that is no longer on any map with a population that is no longer human.

Loved it!

Let me start by saying I usually stay clear of 'full cast' audio books because I find them distracting. However, the actors are really good here and made the book extremely immersive. I loved the story, interesting characters, creepy, and some really intense scenes (where you can't stop listening). Reminds me of old school horror video games (back when they were good). The writing is excellent and the so is the narration. If you like horror, give this one a shot.

Great Story!

The scroll of the Last Rite was never to be found but it was. Daniel receives a phone call about his lost love only to find out that when she disappeared she was expecting his child. Daniel shocked, to say the least heads to meet and get his child. Awkward as the meeting was, they leave to head home, during that drive, a creature jumps in front of Daniels car and they had an accident, but then realize that there was another car who seems to have previous been in an accident. Daniel looks into the car and was surprised by the amount of blood in the car but things get even crazier as he heads to the next town to get some medical help for his injury and report to the police about the other car. That is when things get even crazier, a nightmare to beat all nightmare! Robert Morgan wrote a fantastic story that will keep you listening to find out what happens next and what makes this audiobook so unique is the multiple narrators who do the part of each character! Bravo Robert Morgan on the way you had this audiobook put together!

The Last Rite

The story is so intriguing that it kept me listening and it was hard to determine when to pause for a break. Various narrators gave me a new experience with audiobook since I am familiar with one or two narrators

I want more!

The Last Rite

By: Chad Robert Morgan Narrated by: Various

I want more! This was an excellently written story. I was intrigued from the beginning, even though it took me a minute to learn where the story was going. Once I knew, I was hooked. I loved the way the story unfolded as it progressed. I would have never have guessed the ending, and I love when that happens. I loved all the characters and felt for them all; I do have a few favorites.

The narration was perfect in every way; the emotion, the cadence and the way the personalities shone in the characters. Overall, I feel confident in rating The Last Rite with 5 stars. I will be looking for more.

Interesting book

The Last Rite, By: Chad Robert Morgan, Narrated by Various

The book is about paranormal, intrigue, apocalyptic. The chief characters are father and daughter and their survival. The story has many characters and several narrators. Since the book is 14 hrs and 19 mins long it will occupy you for some time and for several days. The book and plot are interesting. I would recommend it to people looking for interesting engagement for several days.

My hope is that this review helps in your decision to obtain this book.

A different kind of apocolapse

The story is great and shows how strong the bond of a good father with his daughter should be. There is reference to some old Indian lore, which drove the purpose of the plot, and we don't find out until the end, and which I found kind of cool. Not sure if the lore is real, but the story was still cool. My favorite character was Daniel because of his loyalty and determination to save his daughter. Of course, the corporation is evil (somebody has to be), and the story left off with the potential for a sequel. I gave the story five stars because the plot and characters are engaging.

I loved that the narration has a full cast, and while most of the characters did a good job, I felt some of the parts were distracting with too much mouth noise and switching on an off of the recorder. Although the main narrator did an okay job, I felt a little more life into the reading would have made it better. BUT, this is just my opinion. Overall it was pretty good and I would listen to another book with this cast. **I was provided a review copy of this audiobook, but in no way did it alter my opinion or rating.""

Don't start this at night!

This has got to be the creepiest book I've listened to in a very long time. I started listening one night after everyone was in bed, as is my usual...this was a mistake. I could not sleep that night! I think this book was great and had good descriptions, sometimes too good. I swear I could see the creatures in the shadows!

Folklore Horror

I have to say I totally enjoyed this book as the narration was subtle with so many but blends well not typical for full cast. It is about Daniel Burns an ex-cop finds out he has child from his ex-love 10 yrs. ago Anna Sloan. After confirming Bethany was his he picks her up and her doll Chrissy (given to her by her mother) along with Anna’s diary then the horror action starts there are dog monsters, wolves, spider monsters, businessmen of the corporation, protective necklaces, some monsters are evil other good. According to Native American folklore to prevent the apocalypse and saving humanity using Bethany’s blood given by love one to close the gate while the corporation needs it to open it but needs to get Daniel out of the way. I enjoyed the characters of Daniel (so devoted to his daughter), Charlie Lightfoot and Lisa. Ending was good but also suggests 2nd book could follow (I hope so). I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

An original and captivating story

Occupying a unique niche between urban fantasy, horror, suspense and adventure The Last Right is a very original and captivating story. The ensemble cast fittingly and dramatically represents the characters in a well-crafted and well-paced production.
