Kai needs to tough up and stop being so naive

Ok, so, I love this story overall, but man Kai is so naive and his actions actively put others in danger. I am almost at the end but his actions during the big fight literally cost the lives of people he said he wanted to protect.

He is slightly upset because of a snake being killed

dude needs to harden up now and fast or he is gonna get his whole village killed.

also, author, love your story but this level of demonic cultivator so early in a story where the Mc is basically still a mortal makes it really annoying when his entire job is tossing potions and elixers and feeling bad about corruption.

I hope the next book pulls it together, has Kai smarten up and maybe aassive power boost to not make him such an annoying wimp.
