Publisher's summary

It's looking like Anika might be alone for the holidays...unless the very last person she'd ever want to spend them with can convince her otherwise.

Is it really enemies-to-lovers if the disdain is one-sided?

BitterSweet is a novella.

Enemy to Lover

I absolutely love the writing of CCJ. Every story she has written hits like no other. This book gave me so much of the feels I couldn’t put it down.

Predictable Stiryline but nice

Out of series, this would be my least favorite. Male performer was not good, you can really tell was reading. Storyline was predictable but a sweet little story that ties all the previous characters in. Book on short side.

Loved It!

I love all CCJ books! I especially love the stories that happen in The Heights. Eboni and Myles did a great job with the narration!

Poor narration

I absolutely love Christina C Jones. She is one of my favorite authors. The narration, however, was pretty bad. The woman sound like a robot through the entire story and the man’s female voice was horrible.

Cute

This was such a cute little Christmas novella. I am so happy Anika finally let Royal in and they both found a little happiness in each orger. I wanted to strangle her at times but on the other hand I completely understood her trying to protect her heart. Two thumbs up for Christina C Jones and the narrators.

Cut short

I have enjoyed all the stories in the Equilibrium series. I did however feel Anika’s story wasn’t as in depth as the previous. Overall it’s a nice quick story.

Merry D*ckmas!!!

The Anika we met in Love Notes is not the Anika we get in Bittersweet. Her personality change was baffling. She was so dislikable in this book. The constant sniping at Royal was unnecessary and annoying. All because of some unwarranted assumptions she had about him. Anika built up this idea of who she thought he was and just ran with it. Royal was a sweetheart. He was charismatic, funny, and patient. When I say he was patient, this man had the patience of Job. He never let Anika's rudeness get to him or take him out of character. That's just how much he liked her which, makes me give her poor attitude towards him the side eye. I guess I'm happy Royal got his HEA or whatever. I really enjoyed Bittersweet. Minus Anika, I loved all of the characters, the relationships, the black love that continues to flow through The Heights, and all of the holiday goodness. I'm a sucker for coffeeshop romances and Bittersweet did not disappoint.

Great Story!

I love the enemies to lover trope and this did not disappoint! The male narrator's voice was a bit off but otherwise it was a great listen

I always love a ccj book. HOWEVER,

Maybe I'm just spoiled by my favorite to narrators. These last two books of this series have a good story so far (I'm only on chapter 3 )but the narration definitely takes from the story. I guess I'll have to come back again once I finish to edit this review as well.
