Publisher's Summary

A standalone contemporary romantic suspense novel from the NYT best-selling author of the Titan Series.

"I can't shake the feeling that somebody's watching me."

One second life was normal, and the next for Ella Leighton, not so much. A social media maven who made her living saving sea turtles, the decision to join a reality TV show was a good one for the cause. But for her...the adjustment wasn't easy.

Her publicist used phrases like online personality. An overnight celebrity. Everyone explained that was why she couldn't shake the feeling. But none of their excuses could explain the letters. The pictures. And then her stalker crossed the line, triggering the demand for security.

Bishop O'Kane didn't expect to come face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend when Titan sent him on bodyguard duty. The woman he once loved, the same one he walked away from years ago, was now his responsibility. Opposites in every way, they couldn't be more different, but maybe they had never needed each other more.

With the FBI falling short in their investigation, the Titan team must rally around the woman with millions of followers, protecting her from her own as Bishop and Ella forge a path of second chances and forgiveness, unburying the past in order to survive.

Eco-Ella is a keeper

At first I thought Eco-Ella was a bit over the top. The initial chapters didn't seem to live up to the intense opening. And I loathe social media addicts. But then she grew on me like kudzu.

The post-sex embarrassment scene in the hotel room had me giggling uncontrollably. As did Bishop's naked dance act or his total freak out around kids and marrieds at the barbecue.

I didn't think I was hooked on this book until I put my phone down next to my bed, thinking, "I'll just listen for a half hour or so. No need to put this on the sleep timer." At 2:45 in the morning as I happily snuffled through the conclusion, I realized I was totally screwed because I needed to be up in FOUR hours. Oops!

The narrator had me so deep in the story that I forgot it was being read aloud and I simply sank into the characters' heads. That's the mark of perfection for me.

Great Contemporary Romantic Suspense!

This was a great story. From the beginning, I was drawn to the story and the great characters. It was very well written.

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life and expressing emotions.

The story got intense towards the end and kept me in the edge of my seat. I enjoyed everything about this book. It was a perfectly woven romance with some suspense thrown in there to spice it up. It is a second chances love story.

It is a fantastic stand alone story even though it is part of a series. It has a HEA conclusion. I'm looking forward to listening to more books in this great series.

Bishop's Queen-not as good as others in the series

Where does Bishop's Queen rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Overall this book was entertaining, however it was not one of my favorite books. The female lead Ella really bugged me, she was frustrating in her character and how she was not willing to listen to others and whining and stupidity at times. She felt like a teenager at times and it really drove me up a wall and I wanted to skip through the book at times. I did like being able to listen to the villain's point of view as this isn't always in books so that was a different point of view to be able to see into the mindset of him as well. I liked being able to see how crazy and obsessed he was. That added an extra dimension to the story.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I am glad I stuck with the book, while I wasn't a fan of the female and she bugged me I am glad I stuck if out and got to see how it ended. It is a HEA as all the books in this series are, I feel the author did redeem herself with the ending of the book and I am happy with how it ended.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first story by Jeffrey Kafer and I really enjoyed his performance. He did a great job and I would listen to another audiobook of his. He did a good job putting emotions in his performance and he will be one that I look for in other books.

Any additional comments?

Bishop's Queen is an incredible story!

What made the experience of listening to Bishop's Queen the most enjoyable?

From start to finish I was pulled into the story based upon its incredible storyline. Cristin Harber does a fantastic job of creating memorable characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bishop O'Kane because he no matter their differences, he will do what it takes to protect Ella.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Jeffery Kafer has become one of my favorite narrators. I have listened to several of his performances and this one is among my favorite.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time, I would not have put this book down. Unfortunately work and raising children tend to get in the way of my entertainment from time to time.

Any additional comments?

Cristin Harber has outdone herself with Bishop's Queen. This fantastic stand alone contributes to her Titan Series perfectly. It is packed with reunited love, suspense, combustible chemistry and a storyline that is unforgettable! I could not put this one down! I love how Cristin is able to weave intricate story lines across several books, while perfecting one complete story in one book. The best part a out this book is that she has introduced more characters into the Titan Group, meaning there are more stories likely to come!!!

In this story you get to meet Bishop O'Kane and Ella Leighton. Bishop is new to the Titan Group. As his first job, he is to protect a client who is known and "Eco Ella" the Social Media sensation who stands up for causes to help the environment. She has a stalker, and her family has called in a favor to the Titan Group for her protection. Having spent the better part of the last 15 years deployed overseas in the mountains of Afghanistan, Bishop is a little out of the loop as to just how important people can be to their Social Media followers. The last thing Bishop expects to find when he walks into the conference room to meet and be further briefed with his new client is to come face to face with the one woman from his past who once upon a time he was in love with.
Now after meeting her once again, he realized they could not be more different from one another. When the FBI falls short of their job, it is up to Biship and the Titan Group to keep her safe, no matter their differences.

Cristin Harber writes this story in such a way that you feel every emotion from each character. As they experience each trial and tribulation, you are pulled further into the story line and unable to let go until you know what happens in the end. I can't wait to read more from this fantastic author!

PS - Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job of narrating this incredible story. His performance only enhances Cristin Harber's brilliance as an author. I enjoy listening to him so much that I have also started looking for other books he narrates as well to listen to in the future!

Second Chances

Ella and Bishop had a thing once but that was a long time ago. When Bishop comes face to face with his new assignment, their knee jerk reactions indicate it's not long enough to be forgotten.
Old feelings resurface in the wake of danger and has Bishop and Ella re-evaluating what once was lost. Bishop's Queen is a suspenseful and time-relevant story with a good amount of romance to back it up.
Jeffrey Kafer's narration of this entire series so far has been on point.

NOT UP TO PREVIOUS STANDARDS

I have thoroughly enjoyed the other 11 books in this series by Cristin Harper, which makes this difficult for me to write. I thought this story was weak and the characters underdeveloped. If this is your first read of the Titan Series don't stop now. No intent on my part to hurt anyone's feelings.

Eloise/Ella is not relatable and annoying

I’ve read/listened to all of the books in the Titan series and enjoyed them. Bishop’s Queen was the only book I considered not finishing.

Bishop was easy to like...Eloise/Ella/El was not. In Her job as a social media activist she was annoying and took stupid risks. She was vegan and so sensitive to the smell of beef jerky it made her vomit.

SPOILER ALERT.....

Bishop and Eloise has dated in high school and things ended abruptly when his sister and her best friend died. In the car wreck that killed his sister she dies at the scene because her lungs were CRUSHED . This is the catalyst that creates “Eco Ella”. The accident happens because the sister was on her phone while driving. It would have been easier to understand if Ella became an advocate for safe usage of cell phones. As in “Don’t text or use your phone when driving!” Instead she becomes a person who is almost always on her phone!

A little disappointing...

I've enjoyed this series. The women can be too headstrong but the men very enduring. Unfortunately, I did not connect with Ella being a bit too fanatical for me. Bishop saved the storyline. I also missed more interaction with the rest of Titan.

New guy Bishop reconnects with his first and only love

A tragic beginning but the remainder of the story was, for the most part, action packed, sweet, and ironically amusing. It was a little longer than it needed to be given that the villain was identified almost from the beginning, and that it seemed to take forever for Ella and Bishop to reconnect physically and almost the end before they admit their feelings. Ella is a reality TV blogger fighting for numerous environmental causes while learning to cope with being a celebrity. A different type of Titan heroine bet an interesting one though a bit stubborn and the opposite of security conscious. . Mia’s welcome barbecue was a highlight which I hope we’ll have more of though now she’ll need to add some vegan dishes to the menu. The series is well written and entertaining with strong women to balance the alpha males. A great addition in suspense category for the Romance Package.

What a disappointment

I love the Titan series and eagerly await each new release. What a disappointment then to buy Bishop's Queen and not get the enjoyment either from the characters or the plot itself. Ella is a pain, a major pain. She seems totally one dimensional. Bishop comes across as purely confused and misdirected. Jeffrey Kafer, as ever, is wonderful. Indeed if it wasn't for his talented narration I wouldn't have hesitated to return the book. This makes me disinclined to buy the next Titan installment
