A wonderful addition to the MacKenzie series. The way Ms. Hart tied Marnie in with the family was brilliant.
This is another edition to the MacKenzie's series. Although neither Barrett nor Marnie's are Mackenzie's by birth, you see plenty of them. A little of Mary MacKenzie's, Mom, story comes out as well.

Good storyline outside the romance.

I did look for something more.

Not Bad, EXCEPT FOR!
Bennett was a good man.. Marni ugh! When she young she couldn't help what happen, but to be a grown woman and let some devil dog take over her life ,business & property the way he did was sickening. Before she knew what he did, maybe, after she found out, NOWAY does anybody walk away without a fight.

Decent storyline
I find that with this author, I tend to like the heroes more than the heroines. I get that Marnie was damaged/traumatized/gifted but her actions after her liberation, didn’t make sense. Turning away from the only people to show her kindness and love didn’t make sense. After years of abuse, not using her gift to ensure her safety in her business/personal life also didn’t make sense especially after years of seeing a therapist. After being betrayed by her lover, not going to her law enforcement colleagues for assistance was just...dumb. Despite rolling my eyes at adult Marnie for 7 chapters, I still enjoyed the story because I liked Becket.
