Resumen del Editor

From New York Times best-seller Cristin Harber comes a new stand-alone romantic suspense novel.

Seven Blackburn is an enigma. A motorcycle club princess and the daughter of a notorious gangster. She's a straight-shooting single mom dead set on ridding a powerful motorcycle club of their South American drug cartel connection. But not all players are ready for the game to change, including the one she can’t see: the CIA.

Jax Michaelson has a bad attitude but a good shot. The former Navy SEAL has been on Titan’s problem list since he showed up for work. Call him cocky. That’s fine, because then you’d have to admit he’s the best at everything. Except diplomacy.

Seven becomes an unexpected bargaining chip, and Titan is forced deeper into the seedy world drug cartel glitz.

Can Jax be the hero Seven needs when a life as Mayhem motorcycle club princess backfires and her children disappear?

Jax is a stand-alone romantic suspense novel by New York Times best-selling author Cristin Harber. It features characters from the Titan, Delta, and Only series, but listeners do not have to have listen to those audiobooks to enjoy this one. There's a guaranteed happily ever after and no cliff-hanger! Enjoy!

#13

Whoohoo!! I listened to ALL of this series. Very good. My first with this author. It won't be my last. The narrator, Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job of narrating. He also narrates all of this series. Which I liked. Enjoy! 😁

Good story that ran out of steam

This book is the last in the Titan series which may have contributed to the fact that it ran out of steam for me. Not sure if it's because I've listened to the 12 previous books and was a little worn out with the "warrior" type men with brash biker babes who give in to caveman antics or if it was because the end of this one petered out, leaving nothing to look forward to---in other words, it left you hanging with no "next in the series".

I gave it 4 stars because I loved this series and narrator Jeffrey Kafer. Once I got used to monotone-like growl that seems to be the norm for warrior-type heros, I stopped listening to his gruff, deep voice and started listening to the story. I had no problem keeping up with his portrayal of the heroine and other females as well the kids.

In this series, the reader/listener is taken out of mundane every day life and transported to exciting situations that we can only imagine. Not that I'd like to have my kids kidnapped but you get the gist.

Close to Home

It took me a bit to get into this story only because the story line was a lot like my home life as a young child. My Dad rode with a gang, he was known as the enforcer. The first vehicle I remember being in/on was his Harley much to my mothers displeasure. I was four and by the time I was five to six he'd gone to be with his other family and gang. So this book brought back good childhood memories and a few no so good, but I've still enjoyed the store and the detail. And who knows if my Dad had been more like Jax-well who knows maybe I won't be more like Seven, trying to make sure everyone else is taken care of. Altho, sometimes you find your man that fills in the crack in your heart, and it all works out the was it should.

Enjoyed this series

I really enjoyed this series. I was slightly distracted while reading this book feeling like I was missing too many backstories on some of the characters. A little disappointed to not have those before reading this book.

A very real interesting gal for Jax

We find out Jax’s unbelievable and tragic story while he learns to love a very complicated but brave young woman. Good story that is paced well but references characters in Delta that do not yet have audible books or are in a different series and should have been read in a different order. Looking forward to catching up on the story of Ryder and Victoria and Javier and his girl.

Jax

The wild card of Titan and the MC princess. I will admit I was on Sugar’s side about Jax since everything went down in Delta: Redemption. While this is a stand alone I felt it helped to read Redemption before this. Yes, they are two different series but they are closely ties together. Jax has a bad attitude and is definitely not the golden boy of Titan. Still within the first two chapters I had taken my place fully on Team Jax. Now for Seven, well she is Seven. She a a princess to the Mayhem MC, but she also lives her own life. While she is tied to them she is her own person.

As usual Cristin Harber kept me on the edge of my seat the whole book. The banter between Seven and Jax was perfect, as were the plot twists. Plus I mean getting a tiny little glimpse at ACES was cool. This book was the perfect end, if Titan could ever have a good end. I hate when series end, but I know Titan will be one I revisit often.

🌻I knew Jax was really a stand up guy!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I was glad Jax and Seven found their way to happy. I was also glad that all the Jax doubters ate crow; especially Sugar. I had a gut feeling that Jax had been misunderstood and was glad her turned out to be a good guy.

Of course, the plot of this book was pretty
Much the same as all of the others. The Heroine has a crisis and the Titan team, including the Hero, saved the day. Of course, the H and h fell madly in love, during the whole ordeal and live happily ever after.

Yes, the stories are really predictable and things have always turned out unreasonable well but, sometimes that’s exactly the kind of book I need. An emotional roller coaster with, over the top angst, is not what the Doctor has ordered and a feel good romance hits the spot and the Titan series is ready to save your day!

Tame, virtually Titanless, motorcycle romance

it’s fitting that this involved a bit of an OCD theme; I finished this mostly because it’s the last of the series and my minor compulsion to have heard them all kicked in. It wasn’t horrible, but it’s a borrowed Audio Escapes book I don’t feel the need to ever listen to again. This book was a downer.

If you want the story to be more fleshed out, read Titan, book 12 , Locke and Key, and then Delta Redemption involving Victoria and Ryder to get the backstories of how the Titan alpha warriors ended up in Idaho dealing with the Mayhem motorcycle gang. Those books built me up to expect an edgier alpha male and alpha female romance involving Jax and Seven.

With all the times in the other books that the Titan family referred to Jax the Jerk, and all the ways Seven was described as the wildest of the female leads (motorcycle princess, pink hair and tongue studs), you’d think their story would be explosive and over the top. Instead, this is probably the most boring of the Titan series.

Smart mouthed jerkface Jax is barely present at the start of the book and quickly becomes sweet, considerate, good with kids Jax. Seven doesn’t just have one hard luck story, she’s got several: asshole prison dad and former Mayhem leader who used her to get ahead, okay ex-husband whose drug problem causes Mayhem problems, having an elderly mom to care for, being a single mom, running a coffee shop, and OCD (a coping mechanism) leading to cleaning, hair coloring, and piercings. Jax has one big tragedy. Lots of downer backstories that aren’t balanced with Titan action, Titan family banter, or wild chemistry between two supposedly wild and crazy alphas.

Even with some naughty rope scenes and Vegas fun, this was a dud. Motorcycle and drug culture did not make for sexy Titan romance. What a downer way to end a mostly great series.
