Well Read, With Practical and Insightful Guidance

This publication will be extremely helpful for those who are in need of learning how to develop or refocus their networking skills. It is not, however, a motivational book on why you need to be a networker. (For a motivational book I suggest "Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty" by Harvey MacKay). Dr. Stanley's book has a very lively two person approach which makes it far more interesting than a regular audio book since this is much like listening to a conversation. More importantly, I found the book to be extremely helpful in explaining not only networking and marketing theory (predominantly for services), but also in applying real life application. Further, in each example the author set forth in detail an evaluation and examination of networking skills and how, why, and in what fashion networking skills applied. The author then makes very simple applications of the same practical theories to scenarios which may face the reader. I found this to be one of the best networking books which I have reviewed for these reasons.

Dry but GREAT!!

True, the interview format is dry but the info relayed is outstanding and way more than "simply find a good cpa". I have listened to this 2 times already and continue to learn from this book.

Dry interview format, but impressive material.

I wasn't prepared for the format here--a faux interview between the author and an interviewer. Still, presented are a number of great ways to embed oneself into wealthy groups, generally by being generously helpful, so that the wealthy call on you then on a paying basis for whatever it is that you provide.

Listen Very Closely

Excellent material. I do not agree with the findings in another book by the author, but this book is very insightful. It applies not only for affluent, but life in general.

If you need affluent customers, read on!

This is a powerful look at what it takes to really connect with affluent clients. Instead of trying to find affluent customers one at a time, this shows you how to focus your efforts in a genuine way.

There are believable, and practical examples of how to become an advocate for a target group of wealthy individuals. This allows you to be seen as more than just a salesperson, or supplier, but part of their cause. If you want to gain the trust of a large group of wealthy people, be differentiated from the salespeople with only their interests in mind, and focus your energy in a creative way that gets results, this book is a must read.

The first person I recommended this to was my father, a wealthy and trusted stockbroker, who has followed a strategy similar to the one advocated in this book. I've never seen it explained so clearly, and want him to share this with all of his employees to grow their business exponentially.

The second person I'm recommending this to is you!

This Works.

Networking is a mysterious word to so many people, and Stanley makes it so easy. One strategy in this book doubled my income in a year. If you are starting a business or new career, you really need this to get off the ground. If you want to put yourself in a whole new level of sales or personal service provider, put this stuff into action. Highly recommended.

Could have been much better from Thomas Stanley.

I am a big fan of Thomas Stanley and really loved the Millionaire Next Door. I also run a business and am looking for new ways to network and interact with better business prospects. I did not find this book as useful as I thought it would be. I thought the format seemed a little cheesy with it's fake and well rehearsed interview. There is nothing wrong with interviews, but this did not come across as an actual interview but more like it was well practiced and scripted. I will listen to this again to try and find a nugget or two to make this a worthwhile investment.

Service is Greatness

Throughout the audio you're reminded that the secret to living is giving (Tony Robbins).

You're challenges to find a way to service the many because service to many leads to greatness (Jesus), and, on topic with this book, service to many leads to more income!

Awesome book, worth the price.

Such a solid book on networking and being persistent. I really enjoy listening to these tried and true methods. They are still relevant in today's time.

Great ideas, annoying presentation

The style of the interviewer took away from a great idea book. Mike interrupts too much and asks questions as though the listener is not able to keep up.

interesting take on things

Very interesting take on things here, there is lots to work with. Some of the advice is not going to be easy to take, for example it has a bias towards being a sales person of financial products or being an owner of your own business. Of course there is some great advice for you if you are not in these categories but to get the most from this book you will be in one of those.
