His first, last and only true love has always been rugby. Until now. She's damaged. He's determined. Fate brought them together. Love binds them.
Johnny Kavanagh has everything going for him. On the rugby pitch, he's a force to be reckoned with. Primed for stardom, he's heading straight for the top. Nothing can possibly get in his way, right? Not even the shy new girl at Tommen College. The one with the sad eyes and hidden bruises. The one that distracts him like no one ever has.
Plagued with a hidden injury and desperate to impress the scouts watching his every move, Johnny has been placed on a pedestal so high, he has no room to make mistakes. Johnny needs to keep his head in the game. He needs to stay focused and cannot afford to let distractions get in the way of the big picture. But what happens when a lonely girl with sad eyes becomes the only picture?
Two teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks collide in the second audio instalment of Binding 13. Based in Ireland, the Boys of Tommen series is bound to captivate and lure you into the world of rugby, love and teenage heartbreak.

This book has my heart! I went into it blindly, I knew it was YA, so I was expecting a high school romance with a typical high school drama but boy, was I wrong.
This story wrecked me. I wanted to get into it and hug Shannon and help her and her family. I hate her dad so much; I despise him completely. My feelings were all over the place, and at one point I felt that my heart couldn’t take it anymore. Luckily, Johnny was there to soothe the pain.
Johnny Kavanagh was amazing, he tried his best to avoid falling for Shannon, but it was inevitable, the man was down bad from the moment he met her.
I listened to this on audiobook, and I must say that Jacqueline Milne and Matthew Forsythe’s narration was amazing. As you can tell, English is not my first language, yet I had no problem understanding all the book despite their accents.
After reading this book, I’m convinced that it’s not YA. The book deals with serious themes like abuse and family violence. Yes, it’s set in high school and it’s also about friendship, but Shannon went through hell before her arrival in Tommen, and things kept getting got worse with her dad and his abuse. I definitely think that this book should be read by adults.
I'm in love with Johnny and Shannon
