So calming and soothing
This might just be new favorite audiobook. I really was not sure what to expect and I love the audiobook and have been playing it every evening. It really allows me to shift mentally and physically from the daytime frenzy into a much calmer, peaceful state. I enjoy the sounds and tones and really love the headspace it puts me into.

Wonderful Soundscapes, Relaxing and Restoring
(If you know what binaural beats are, skip to the next paragraph for my review!) According to WebMD, binaural beats are created when two tones at slightly different frequencies are combined, which your brain interprets as a different frequency–namely, the difference between the two original frequencies. Then, your brain activity matches this new frequency, which in turn invokes a particular mental state. Relevant to this book are binaural beats at frequencies of four to eight hertz (called Theta) and binaural beats of eight to 14 hertz (Alpha). Theta binaural beats are known for inducing meditation, relaxation, and creativity. Alpha binaural beats are known to induce focus, positive thinking, learning, and engagement.
This book contains ten hour-long binaural beats at different Theta or Alpha frequencies. They are all lovely and bring to mind sitting outside at night on a beach, watching the stars twinkle and listening to the waves. That isn’t to say that the tones are white noise (as are waves)–just that I was transported to that sort of happy place. My favorite happens to be the first, called Healing and Restoration (4 hertz), but that may just be a reflection of my mindset these days. This audiobook is truly wonderful.

What I like about "Binaural Beats: Theta + Alpha" By Aria Blackstone, is the variety of sounds your are given to heal and motivate yourself mentally. You discover "Healing and Restoration" at theta 4 hz, which is good for REM sleep, reduced anxiety, relaxation, as well as meditative and creative states. You also get "Morning Energizer" at Alpha 11 hz, a frequency is linked to extroversion, creativity, and mental work. In between all that is a library... hour of sounds, designed to nourish your different mental states.

Calming and comforting
Listening to this before bed helps me sleep well and wake up refreshed. I'm amazed at how sounds can impact my feelings so much. I feel peaceful and calm after hearing this book. My mind is clear, and I can focus better. It's as if the noise in my head fades away, and I can think clearly. I also feel less anxious and more at ease I understand myself more and feel happier inside. My meditation feels deeper and more meaningful.
