What a journey! This is a MUST read!

If you enjoy reading personal journeys, I highly recommend this one! It’s engaging and heartfelt with lots of gems and lessons sprinkled in. Laban is a top tier writer and story teller and has lived quite a life so far! His transformation is remarkable and inspiring. My life experiences have been a bit different but we all can learn from Laban’s journey and wisdom. I had quite a few take aways but I won’t spoil it for you. I’m looking forward to hearing more about what’s revealed in the last chapter.

Can’t tell which is better: the message or the story telling

Hands down one of the best books ever. I was captivated by the story telling and garnered strange looks while I cried laughing on a plane. This book is grounded, relevant, hilarious, shocking, powerful and entertaining. Laban delivers truth and wisdom in the most practical, no bullshit - no excuses way that makes you feel like if he can do it - you absolutely can too.

As real as it gets...

Laban’s gift for being authentic along with his obvious knack for story telling, make this a GREAT listen for anyone who wants to overcome challenging circumstances or deeply entrenched addictive behaviors and become the best version of yourself. I highly recommend it!

Wild, witty, crazy, and 100% inspiring

I saw a snippet of Laban Ditchburn on Brad Lea's video podcast and was hooked. "Who IS this guy? He's obviously got a story and I gotta hear it!" I immediately nabbed the audiobook and devoured it.

WARNING: it's not for the faint of heart. Laban's tales are raw, raucous, and raunchy. So much that you start to wonder if you're hearing Matthew McConaughey's adventures with an Aussie twang. Once I even raced to the Internet to see if "that" story was true. (You'll know it when you hear it, and yes...it's true.)

But it's fantastic! Laban is a fabulous writer and narrator, packed with talent. His linguistic prowess is gripping, and his jovial-but-earnest vocal talent is spellbinding.

Behind all that talent you see the core of a man whose title of The World's Best Courage Coach is hard-earned. Anyone who can crawl out of the self-loathing and pain he suffered deserves it. But it's not about Laban at all. It's about overcoming everything that holds you back...and discovering that, even when you seem destined for the slithery pit of purgatory, you can bet on yourself and WIN.

Laban’s journey is one I will remember. If you are looking for a fresh book that will leave you inspired and laughing read or listen to “Bet On You”.

Laughing and Crying

I met Laban a week before buying his book. What an amazing and funny guy in person. We became fast friends. Little did I realize who I had just met. Upon reading his book, or better yet, having it performed in the most entertaining way by Laban, with the energy and enthusiasm of the Crocodile Hunter meets Jim Carrey and Robin Williams, this was a Grammy-worthy performance by the author. I listened mostly as I worked out. Often I would have to drop the weights I was laughing so hard. Other times I was absolutely touched by the poignant nature of his powerful points and messaging.
I love this guy.
I highly recommend this book to anyone needing motivation and inspiration.
It is not safe for work language but is perfect for someone needing a vacation from the doldrums of work life and taken into the adventures of Laban’s astounding life and perspective. I can’t wait to read his next one.
