All Sarah wants for Christmas this year is a ski trip with her four closest friends to Park City. Then days before her long awaited trip, tragedy strikes! In pursuit of ducks, Bella her rambunctious lab, pulls Sarah into the lake! The end result - an injured knee!

To make matters worse Sarah's grandmother, Rita, insists on calling 911 and within minutes she is surrounded by firemen and EMT. A timely trip to the ER and x-rays confirm that while there is no permanent damage, her Christmas will be one spent at home, on the couch with none other than Bella.

A disgruntled Sarah finds herself moping around and wallowing in self-pity when Jack, a good looking firefighter, makes a house call to return the wallet she had accidentally left in the ambulance.
