I'm Not Sure How to Rate This

I'm honestly not sure how to rate this. First of all,the narrators were excellent. However, I caution people to read reviews and trigger warnings before reading this one. It seemed to start off as one trope, but then turned into an entirely diffrent one.

Asfor the story, I got really really into story up until chapter 9ish. I am really into touch her and die, he falls first/harder, super protective and devoted heros, and that's where the book seemed headed. The story was really good,the writing was excellent. I was loving it, but then it turned into more of dom/sub story. Now I can handle some dominance in the MMC, but dominance as a kink(wherein the dom uses punishment, humilation, power imbalance to exert control) is actually a major turn off for me. And women who are subs to the point that it feels like they turn their brains off aggrivate me. Now, I'm not saying this woman was stupid. She was a mostly well written character, but, for instance, the scene where she seemingly couldn't care less that one of the abuse victims she helped was murdered just because the mmc was simulating her just aggrivated me to no end. I just can't stand that character type. It's a pretty big hard pass for me actually. I also hate voyeurism or any spicy acts done in public. Also a hard pass for me. So, I can't give this book five stars, but,since it was mostly just a trope/ reader mismatch I'm also not going to knock it morethan one star. Honestly, that's mostly for the scene where she litterllay couldn't care less that a woman was murdered just because it was spicy time. I just can't with that.

Fun stories characters with the right amount of spice

What a great surprise reading Kristen Luciano, this was my second and I was not disappointed, looking forward to more. Voices added to the whole story.
