Sexy, sweet and magical

I loved this! Axel was such a grump but you could tell he was all bark and no bite.

Tanner didn’t let that drive him away though. He could see that Axel was more than his grumpiness and less than ideal people skills.

He saw what it could be like to be with someone in the long run and he wasn’t ready to let Axel go.

Phoebe was the cutest thing ever. I loved how she had everyone in her life wrapped around her fingers. She really was an angel.

This story was so adorable and just the right book to curl up with this holiday season. I highly recommend it.

Nick was absolutely amazing with the narration.

I love it

It tells the story of two cowboys, Tanner, the ranch owner, and Axel, a single father and the ranch's new temporary veterinarian.
I loved it, they are both charming, the girl is wonderful and super sweet. She has no problem with her daddy having a boyfriend.

It is narrated by Nick J. Russo, who always does a wonderful job narrating, as he does here.

Cowboys

First of all, who doesn't love cowboys. And cowboys at Christmas, even better. It's been a while since I have enjoyed a Lane Hayes story and I missed their sweet story telling. This was just a perfect amount of small-town angst and a sweet HEA. Nick Russo did a fantastic job narrating. Very sweet, enjoyed!

I loved it!

I love stories set at Christmastime and I love everything I’ve read by Lane Hayes so it was no surprise that I loved this story.

Axel is a grumpy single dad whose backstory is kind of sad but he’s doing everything he can for his daughter. He’s a licensed veterinarian but he’s also a great ranch hand. He has no desire for a relationship with anyone but his daughter. Tanner is CEO of Oak Ridge, a working ranch, winery and luxury dude ranch. He broke up with his most recent boyfriend a year ago and isn’t really looking for a relationship. It’s a no-brainer that these two will end up together but the way they get there is a very sweet story with mild heat, cute animals and a sweet five-year-old.

For me, this was a perfect holiday story. It’s not long; just perfect for an evening’s listen with all of the holiday elements I enjoy: a small town, lots of decoration and wonderful characters. Lane Hayes indicated that there might be another book set in this world coming next holiday season and I’m looking forward to it.

A Delightfully Heartwarming Story & Listen 🎧

Lane Hayes pens another fabulous novel, a delightful grumpy/sunshine MM romance novel set around the holidays but a story you can enjoy anytime of the year. Tanner purchased livestock from a neighboring ranch for his own ranch, and he met with the vet who took care of those animals, Axel, who was not a man of many words, but he still found him to be intriguing. Axel, a single dad of an adorable little girl, is planning to return to Texas at the end of the year. Until then, he needed to find another job and went to Tanner asking for one, to continue to work with the animals and other jobs on the ranch. Hiring him is a smart move not only for Oak Ridge Ranch, but for Tanner and Axel too. It was great watching these two get to know each other and learn more about them. There was an undeniable chemistry between them, and they could only deny each other for so long. Axel was a wonderful dad to his daughter, and Tanner was just as fabulous. This wonderfully written and plotted story is a heartwarming story with the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Lane Hayes, thank you for another delightfully entertaining story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  Nick J. Russo did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting. Embodying each character completely, he was believable in every role and was amazing as the grumpy Axel and the more upbeat Tanner. His expressive performance conveyed all the characters’ emotions in his performance, making you feel each one. Russo is a versatile voice artist and an entertaining storyteller whose captivating performance hooks you to the story.
